A. Aircraft Maintanance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Make sure that the AFT cargo-compartment door is open and safetied (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(3) Make sure that the CARGO COMPT light switch is set to the ON position.
(4) Make sure that the access panel 161DW is removed.
(5) Make sure that the access platform is in position under the potable water service-panel.
(6) Make sure that the door of the potable water service-panel 171AL is open.
(7) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell porsons that the quantity indication system will not operate.
Subtask 38-13-16-865-053-A (1) Make sure that the electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Make sure that the AFT cargo-compartment door is open and safetied (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).

Subtask 38-13-16-420-050-A
A. Installation of the Water Service-Panel Door-Switch 5MA
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Put the limit switch (2) in position.
(4) Install the nut (4) and the washer (3).
(6) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(7) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(8) Connect the electrical connector 5MA-A (1).
Subtask 38-13-16-865-054-A (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Put the limit switch (2) in position.
(4) Install the nut (4) and the washer (3).
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(5) Safety the nut (4) with corrosion-resistant steel lockwire 0.5 mm (0.020 in.) dia.(6) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(7) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(8) Connect the electrical connector 5MA-A (1).
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Test
(1) Do an operational test of the water service-panel door-switch (Ref. AMM TASK 38-13-00-710-002).
(2) If necessary, adjust the water service-panel door-switch (Ref. AMM TASK 38-13-00-820-801).
5. Close-up(1) Do an operational test of the water service-panel door-switch (Ref. AMM TASK 38-13-00-710-002).
(2) If necessary, adjust the water service-panel door-switch (Ref. AMM TASK 38-13-00-820-801).
Subtask 38-13-16-410-050-A
A. Close Access
(1) Install the access panels 161DW.
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Close the door of the potable water service-panel 171AL.
(5) Close the AFT cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(6) Remove the access platform(s).
(7) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
Subtask 38-13-16-862-050-A (1) Install the access panels 161DW.
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Close the door of the potable water service-panel 171AL.
NOTE: Make sure that the latches are correctly locked and that the door makes a continuous surface with the skin of the aircraft.
(4) Set the CARGO COMPT light-switch 8LU on the service panel 2024VU to the OFF position. (5) Close the AFT cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(6) Remove the access platform(s).
(7) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
