C. Get Access
(1) Open and safety the AFT cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(2) Set the CARGO COMPT light-switch 8LU on the service panel 2024VU to the ON position.
(3) Remove the access panel 161DW.
(4) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the potable water service-panel.
(5) Open the potable-water service-panel door 171AL.
(6) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons that the quantity indication system will not operate.

4. Procedure
Subtask 38-13-16-020-050-A

A. Removal of the Water Service-Panel Door-Switch 5MA
(1) Disconnect the electrical connector 5MA-A (1).
(2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.

WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

(3) Remove and discard the lockwire from the nut (4).
(4) Remove the nut (4) and the washer (3).
(5) Remove the switch (2).
