3. Job Set-up

A. Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

B. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position below the Potable-Water Service Panel (PWSP).
   (2) Open PWSP access door 171AL.
4. Procedure
Subtask 38-13-00-820-050-A
A. Adjustment of the Stud of Limit Switch 5MA
   (1) Loosen the nut (3).
   (2) Remove the stud (2) with the nut (3) and the washer (4).
   (3) Clean the nut (3), the stud (2) and the washer (4).
   (4) Apply Threadlocking Adhesive-- Medium strength - (Material No.05BAE1) to the thread of the stud (2).
NOTE: Refer to the manufacturer's instructions for the drying time of the material No. 05BAE1.
   (5) Loosely install the stud (2), the nut (3) and the washer (4).
   (6) Carefully close the PWSP access door (1) and listen if you hear a click from limit switch (5).
     (a) If you do not hear a click from the limit-switch (5):
       1 Open the PWSP access door (1).
       2 Turn the stud (2) counterclockwise half a turn.
       3 Carefully close the PWSP access door (1).
       4 Do the procedure again until you hear a click from the limit-switch (5).
     (b) If you hear a click from the limit-switch (5):
       1 Open the PWSP access door (1).
       2 Turn the stud (2) clockwise half of a turn.
       3 Carefully close the PWSP access door (1).
       4 Do the procedure again until you do not hear a click from the limit-switch (5).
       5 Turn the stud (2) counterclockwise half a turn.
   (7) Turn the stud (2) counterclockwise approximately 2 mm (0.079 in.) more.
   (8) Hold the stud (2) in position and tighten the nut (3).

  • Close PWSP access door 171AL.
  • The quantity indication is off.
  • Open PWSP access door 171AL.
  • The quantity indication is on.

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close PWSP access door 171AL.
   (3) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
   (4) Remove the access platform(s).

B. De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
