(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the potable-water service panel.
(2) Open potable-water service door 171AL.

D. If necessary, drain the potable water system (Ref. AMM TASK 12-24-38-680-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 12-24-38-680-002).

NOTE: The potable water system must be empty for the subsequent test.

A. Operational Test of the Water Service-Panel Door-Switch 5MA

ACTION	RESULT
1.At the potable-water service panel: Turn cable control handle 3254MM to the FILL position and pull it out.	At the potable-water service panel: The FWD DRAIN VALVE OPEN light goes off. The OVERFLOW VALVE OPEN light comes on. The TANK DRAIN VALVE OPEN light goes off. The TANK FULL light goes off.
Push cable control handle 3254MM in and turn to the NORMAL position.	The FWD DRAIN VALVE OPEN light goes off. The OVERFLOW VALVE OPEN light goes off. The TANK DRAIN VALVE OPEN light goes off. The TANK FULL light goes off.
Turn cable control handle 3254MM to the DRAIN position and pull it out.	The FWD DRAIN VALVE OPEN light comes on. The OVERFLOW VALVE OPEN light comes on. The TANK DRAIN VALVE OPEN light comes on. The TANK FULL light goes off.
Push cable control handle 3254MM in and turn to the NORMAL position.	The FWD DRAIN VALVE OPEN light goes off. The OVERFLOW VALVE OPEN light goes of. The TANK DRAIN VALVE OPEN light goes off. The TANK FULL light goes off.
2.At the potable-water service panel: Close potable-water service door 171AL.	On Forward Attendant Panel (FAP) 120RH/miscellaneous panel WATER AND WASTE 124RH: There is no indication.
At FAP 120RH/miscellaneous panel WATER AND WASTE 124RH: Push and hold the membrane switch IND ON.	The FAP gives an indication.
At the potable-water service panel: Open potable-water service door 171AL.	The FAP gives an indication.

ACTION	RESULT

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close potable-water service door 171AL.

NOTE: Make sure that the latches are correctly locked and that the door makes a continuous surface with the skin of the aircraft.

(3) Remove the access platform(s).
