A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Make sure that the potable water-shutoff valve in the lavatory is closed.
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Make sure that the potable water-shutoff valve in the lavatory is closed.
Subtask 38-12-41-420-057-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Cartridge Assembly
(1) Remove the PLUG - BLANKING from the housing of the cartridge assembly (6).
(2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Do a visual inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Clean the new AIPC 38-12-41-05-075 PACKINGS (7) and the cartridge assembly (6) with Disinfectant-Potable Water System - Legacy (Material No.11AKG9) :
(a) Spray disinfectant from a maximum distance of 10 cm.
(b) Make sure that the disinfectant stays on the surfaces for a minimum of five minutes.
(c) Install the components while they are wet with disinfectant.
(5) Apply a thin layer of Lubricant-Rubber seal Glycerin - (Material No.03PEB1) to the packings (7).
(6) Install the packings (7) on the outer grooves of the cartridge assembly (6).
(7) Put the cartridge assembly (6) in its correct installation position.
(8) Install the washer (5) on the cartridge assembly (6).
(9) Install the winding ring (4) with the 29W350961 TOOL-REMOVAL INSTALLATION,WATER FAUCET.
(10) TORQUE the winding ring (4) to between 102 and 76 lbf.in (1.15 and 0.86 m.daN )

(11) Apply a thin layer of Lubricant-Rubber seal Glycerin - (Material No.03PEB1) to the new AIPC 38-12-41-05-065 PACKINGS (3).
(12) Install the packings (3) on the inner grooves of the cap assembly (1).
(13) Install the setscrews (2) on the cap assembly (1).
(14) Install the cap assembly (1) on the cartridge assembly (6).
(15) TORQUE the setscrews (2) to between 9 and 8 lbf.in (0.10 and 0.09 m.daN )

(16) Install the self-closing element (Ref. AMM TASK 38-12-41-400-002).
5. Close-up(1) Remove the PLUG - BLANKING from the housing of the cartridge assembly (6).
(2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.

(4) Clean the new AIPC 38-12-41-05-075 PACKINGS (7) and the cartridge assembly (6) with Disinfectant-Potable Water System - Legacy (Material No.11AKG9) :

(7) Put the cartridge assembly (6) in its correct installation position.
(8) Install the washer (5) on the cartridge assembly (6).
(9) Install the winding ring (4) with the 29W350961 TOOL-REMOVAL INSTALLATION,WATER FAUCET.
(10) TORQUE the winding ring (4) to between 102 and 76 lbf.in (1.15 and 0.86 m.daN )
.(11) Apply a thin layer of Lubricant-Rubber seal Glycerin - (Material No.03PEB1) to the new AIPC 38-12-41-05-065 PACKINGS (3).
(12) Install the packings (3) on the inner grooves of the cap assembly (1).
(13) Install the setscrews (2) on the cap assembly (1).
(14) Install the cap assembly (1) on the cartridge assembly (6).
(15) TORQUE the setscrews (2) to between 9 and 8 lbf.in (0.10 and 0.09 m.daN )
.(16) Install the self-closing element (Ref. AMM TASK 38-12-41-400-002).
