Subtask 38-12-41-860-062-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(4) Put the inline filters (2) into the aircraft water-inlet-hose fittings (3) and (4).
(5) Make sure that the inline filters (2) are in correct flow direction.
(6) Refer to the match marks and connect the aircraft water-inlet-hose fittings (3) and (4) to the hydraulic box (1).
(7) TORQUE the aircraft water-inlet-hose fittings (3) and (4) to between 0.627 and 0.513 m.daN (55.49 and 45.40 lbf.in )

Subtask 38-12-41-860-062-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) Make sure that the CONTAINER 10 L(2 1/2 USGAL) are in position below the drain masts 4DU and 14DU.
(3) Make sure that the ends of the hoses are in the containers below the drain masts.
(4) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to open the potable-water shutoff valve in the lavatory.
(5) Make sure that there is no pressure in the potable water line.
(6) Make sure that the potable-water shutoff valve in the lavatory is in the CLOSED position.
(7) Make sure that there is a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the related connections.
Subtask 38-12-41-865-067-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized

(2) Make sure that the CONTAINER 10 L(2 1/2 USGAL) are in position below the drain masts 4DU and 14DU.
(3) Make sure that the ends of the hoses are in the containers below the drain masts.
(4) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to open the potable-water shutoff valve in the lavatory.
(5) Make sure that there is no pressure in the potable water line.
(6) Make sure that the potable-water shutoff valve in the lavatory is in the CLOSED position.
(7) Make sure that there is a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the related connections.

A. Preparation before Installation
(1) Put the inline filters (2) in vinegar to remove unwanted materials.
(3) Dry the inline filters (2) and clean them in alcohol (min. 70%).
Subtask 38-12-41-420-056-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put the inline filters (2) in vinegar to remove unwanted materials.
NOTE: If necessary, use a non-metallic stiff-bristled brush to remove the materials.
(2) Clean the inline filters (2) with clean water. (3) Dry the inline filters (2) and clean them in alcohol (min. 70%).
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE EQUIPMENT YOU USE FOR THIS PROCEDURE IS CLEAN AND APPROVED FOR THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM. IF NOT IT CAN CAUSE CONTAMINATION OF THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE WATER TANK IS DEPRESSURIZED.
WARNING:
DO NOT TOUCH THE WATER HEATER UNTIL IT IS SUFFICIENTLY COOL TO PREVENT BURNS WHEN YOU DO THE MAINTENANCE TASK(S).
B. Installation of the Inline Filters NOTE: This procedure is the same for all of the lavatories which have the electronic water faucet.
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(4) Put the inline filters (2) into the aircraft water-inlet-hose fittings (3) and (4).
(5) Make sure that the inline filters (2) are in correct flow direction.
(6) Refer to the match marks and connect the aircraft water-inlet-hose fittings (3) and (4) to the hydraulic box (1).
(7) TORQUE the aircraft water-inlet-hose fittings (3) and (4) to between 0.627 and 0.513 m.daN (55.49 and 45.40 lbf.in )
. C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

D. Leak Check
(1) If necessary fill the potable water system (Ref. AMM TASK 12-15-38-613-001).
(2) If necessary pressurize the potable water system (Ref. AMM TASK 38-10-00-614-001).
(3) In the lavatory, turn the potable-water shutoff valve to the OPEN position.
(4) In the lavatory, operate the water faucet until water flows into the washbasin.
(5) Examine the fittings for leaks.
5. Close-up(1) If necessary fill the potable water system (Ref. AMM TASK 12-15-38-613-001).
(2) If necessary pressurize the potable water system (Ref. AMM TASK 38-10-00-614-001).
(3) In the lavatory, turn the potable-water shutoff valve to the OPEN position.
(4) In the lavatory, operate the water faucet until water flows into the washbasin.
(5) Examine the fittings for leaks.
NOTE: Leaks are not permitted.

B. Close Access
(2) Dry the area below the washbasin with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) Install the lining (Ref. AMM TASK 25-45-26-400-001).
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(5) Remove the containers from below the drain masts.
(6) Remove the hoses from the drain masts 4DU and 14DU.
(7) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
Subtask 38-12-41-862-056-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL NOTE: Only for the electronic water faucet.
(1) Remove the container from below the washbasin. (2) Dry the area below the washbasin with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) Install the lining (Ref. AMM TASK 25-45-26-400-001).
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(5) Remove the containers from below the drain masts.
(6) Remove the hoses from the drain masts 4DU and 14DU.
(7) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
