A. Preparation before Installation
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE EQUIPMENT YOU USE FOR THIS PROCEDURE IS CLEAN AND APPROVED FOR THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM. IF NOT IT CAN CAUSE CONTAMINATION OF THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM.
   (1) Put the nozzle assemblies in vinegar (10% acetic acid solution) or 10% citric acid solution to remove the unwanted material.
NOTE: Airbus recommends that you use a non-metallic stiff-bristled brush to remove the material if necessary.
   (2) Clean the nozzle assemblies with clean water.
   (3) Dry the nozzle assemblies and clean them in alcohol (minimum 70%):
     (a) Make sure that the alcohol reacts with the surfaces for a minimum of 5 minutes.
     (b) Let the compound dry.
     (c) As an alternative, use disinfectants ELSIL 3% H2O2 (966300), HERLISIL (966500), H Bio T50 (966400) or SANOSIL (966200):
1 Make sure that the concentration of H2O2 in these disinfectants is decreased to 3%.
2 Spray the disinfectant from a maximum distance of approximately 10 cm.
3 Make sure that the disinfectant reacts with the surfaces for a minimum of 5 minutes.
4 Install the components while they are wet with the disinfectant.
Subtask 38-12-41-420-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Installation of the Nozzle Assembly
NOTE: The procedure for the installation of the nozzle assembly is same for all the lavatories.
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Install the washer (2) onto the nozzle (3).
   (4) Disinfect the 9010020380AIR KEY SPECIAL (4) and the water faucet outlet (1) with Disinfectant-Potable Water System - Legacy (Material No.11AKG9) :
     (a) Spray disinfectant from a distance of approximately 10 cm maximum.
NOTE: The disinfectant must react with surfaces for a minimum of 5 minutes.
NOTE: The disinfected components must not be dried after the disinfection and must be installed in wet condition.
   (5) Use the 9010020380AIR KEY SPECIAL (4) to install the nozzle assembly (5) in the water faucet outlet (1).
