A. Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

B. Get Access
(1) Open the door of the lavatory.
(2) Close the potable water-shutoff valve.
(3) Remove the self-closing element (Ref. AMM TASK 38-12-41-000-002).

4. Procedure

A. Removal of the Cartridge Assembly
(1) Loosen the setscrews (2) and remove the cap assembly (1) from the cartridge assembly (6).
(2) Remove the setscrews (2).
(3) Remove and discard the packings (3).
(4) Remove the winding ring (4) with the 29W350961 TOOL-REMOVAL INSTALLATION,WATER FAUCET.
(5) Remove the washer (5) from the cartridge assembly (6).
(6) Remove the cartridge assembly (6).
(7) Remove and discard the packings (7).
(8) Put the PLUG - BLANKING in the housing of the cartridge assembly (6).
