B. Get Access
   (1) Open the door of the lavatory.
   (2) Close the potable water-shutoff valve.
4. Procedure

A. Removal of the Water-Faucet Self-Closing Element
NOTE: This procedure for the removal of the water-faucet self-closing element is the same in all lavatories.
   (1) Make sure that there is no pressure in the potable water line.
   (2) Remove the screw (1) with an ALLEN KEY - DRIVER PNR ISO 2936-2.5 and remove the cap assembly (2) from the faucet housing (7).
   (3) Remove and discard the spring clip (3).
   (4) Remove the grip sleeve (4) and the spring (5).
   (5) Use a W035090087 SPECIAL KEY to remove the self-closing element (6).
   (6) Put the self-closing element (6) in the CONTAINER - CLEAN, APPLICABLE with water.
NOTE: The self-closing element can be damaged if kept dry.
   (7) If necessary, remove the cartridge assembly from the faucet housing (7) (Ref. AMM TASK 38-12-41-000-008).
   (8) Put a PLUG - BLANKING in the faucet housing (7).
