A. Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).

B. Get Access
(1) Open the forward cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-003).
(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position.
(3) Set cargo-compartment light switch 6LU to on.
(4) Remove partitions 131NW and 132PW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-000-001).
(5) Remove the insulation from the tank.

Subtask 38-11-41-010-052-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

B. Get Access
(1) Open the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-003).
(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) below the aft cargo-compartment door.
(3) Remove partitions 161DW and 162DW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-001).
(4) Remove the insulation around the tank.

C. Pressurize the potable water system (Ref. AMM TASK 38-10-00-614-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 38-10-00-614-003).

4. Procedure
Subtask 38-11-41-210-050-A

A. Make a visual inspection of the potable water tank and make sure that:

There are no cracks, leaks or damage
The distribution pipes are in good condition
The area around the tank is free of corrosion and is in a good condition.

5. Close-up
Subtask 38-11-41-614-051-A

A. If necessary, depressurize the potable water system (Ref. AMM TASK 38-10-00-614-002).

Subtask 38-11-41-410-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

B. Close Access
(1) Install the insulation around the tank.
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Install partitions 131NW and 132PW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-400-001).
(4) Set cargo-compartment light switch 6LU to off.
(5) Remove the access platform(s).
(6) Close the forward cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002) or (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-004).

Subtask 38-11-41-410-054-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

B. Close Access
(1) Install insulation around the tank.
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Install partitions 161DW and 162DW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-400-001).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(5) Close the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002) or (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-004).

C. De-energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
