Subtask 38-11-41-560-052-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
(1) Disconnect the air pressure line (16).
(2) Disconnect the connection (15) at the tank.
(3) Disconnect the connection (13).
(4) Remove the clamps (20) and the overflow line (14).
(5) Disconnect the electrical connector 3MA-A (17) from the quantity transmitter 3MA.
(6) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(7) Disconnect the connection (8).
(8) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(9) Pull the distribution line assembly (7) out of the water tank (1).
(10) Remove and discard the cotter pin (11).
(11) Remove the washer (10) and the pin (9).
(12) Remove the clamps (2).
(13) Remove the potable water tank 3000MM (1).
Subtask 38-11-41-020-051-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
(1) Disconnect the electrical connector 3MA-A from the quantity transmitter 3MA.
(2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(3) Disconnect the air pressure line (8).
(4) Disconnect the clamshell (6) and move the sleeve (5) back.
(5) Discard the O-rings (4).
(6) Disconnect the clamshell (18) and move the sleeve (17) over the pipe (19).
(7) Pull the distribution line assembly (16) out of the water tank.
(8) Discard the O-rings (15).
(9) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(10) Loosen the two tank attach clamps (9).
(11) Remove and discard the cotter pin (24).
(12) Remove the washer (25) and the pin (26).
(13) Remove the nuts (21) the washers (22) and the bolts (23).
(14) Remove the brackets (20).
(15) Remove the potable water tank 3000MM (10).

Removal of the Potable Water Tank
WARNING:
YOU MUST MAKE SURE THAT YOU CAN HOLD THE COMPONENT BEFORE YOU REMOVE/INSTALL IT. THE COMPONENT IS HEAVY. IF IT FALLS, IT CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION:
WHILE YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL THE WATER TANK, BE CAREFUL NOT TO CAUSE DENTS OR DAMAGE TO IT. DENTS OR DAMAGE CAN CAUSE LEAKAGE IN THE WATER TANK.
NOTE: The weight of this equipment is approximately 16 kg (35 lb). More than one person is necessary for this procedure.

C. Draining of the Potable Water System
(1) Drain the potable water system (Ref. AMM TASK 12-24-38-680-001).
(2) Do not close the potable water-service panel-door 171AL.
(3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell the persons not to pressurize or fill the potable water tank.
Subtask 38-11-41-010-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Drain the potable water system (Ref. AMM TASK 12-24-38-680-001).
(2) Do not close the potable water-service panel-door 171AL.
(3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell the persons not to pressurize or fill the potable water tank.
D. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position.
(2) Open the AFT cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(3) Remove the access panels 161DW 162DW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-001).
(4) Remove the center support strut at FR65 (Ref. AMM TASK 53-43-11-000-001).
Subtask 38-11-41-680-051-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position.
(2) Open the AFT cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(3) Remove the access panels 161DW 162DW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-001).
(4) Remove the center support strut at FR65 (Ref. AMM TASK 53-43-11-000-001).
E. Draining of the Potable Water System
(1) Drain the potable water system (Ref. AMM TASK 12-24-38-680-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 12-24-38-680-002).
(2) Do not close potable-water service-panel door 171AL.
(3) Examine drain valve 14MP and make sure that it is open.
Subtask 38-11-41-010-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Drain the potable water system (Ref. AMM TASK 12-24-38-680-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 12-24-38-680-002).
(2) Do not close potable-water service-panel door 171AL.
(3) Examine drain valve 14MP and make sure that it is open.
NOTE: If drain valve 14MP is not open, then you must open it manually.
(4) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell the persons not to pressurize or fill the potable water tank. F. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position.
(2) Open the forward cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-003).
(3) Remove partitions 131NW and 132PW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-000-001).
(4) Remove the partition panel-support struts (31) and (34):
(a) Remove the sealant from the top and bottom part of the partition panel-support struts (31) and (34) with a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(b) Remove the nuts (33) and the bolts (32) and remove the partition panel-support struts (31) and (34).
(5) Remove [4013HM] (Ref. AMM TASK 21-21-41-000-001).
(6) Remove the air conditioning ducts:
(a) Remove the fwd duct (41).
Detail B and C:
1 Remove the clamps (43) and (45).
2 Remove the bellows (44).
3 Remove the duct (41) from the aircraft.
(b) Remove the bend duct (42).
Detail D, E, F and G:
1 Remove the clamps (50), (52) and (54).
2 Remove the bellows (53) and (55).
3 Remove the duct (42) from the aircraft.
(c) Remove the bracket assembly.
Detail J:
1 Remove the bolts (61) and the washers (60).
2 Remove the bracket assembly from the aircraft.
Detail B and H:
1 Remove the clamps (43), (63) and (64).
2 Remove the bellows (44) and (66).
3 Remove the rear duct (40) from the aircraft.
Subtask 38-11-41-941-052-A (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position.
(2) Open the forward cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-003).
(3) Remove partitions 131NW and 132PW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-000-001).
(4) Remove the partition panel-support struts (31) and (34):
(a) Remove the sealant from the top and bottom part of the partition panel-support struts (31) and (34) with a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(b) Remove the nuts (33) and the bolts (32) and remove the partition panel-support struts (31) and (34).
(5) Remove [4013HM] (Ref. AMM TASK 21-21-41-000-001).
(6) Remove the air conditioning ducts:
(a) Remove the fwd duct (41).

1 Remove the clamps (43) and (45).
2 Remove the bellows (44).
3 Remove the duct (41) from the aircraft.
(b) Remove the bend duct (42).
Detail D, E, F and G:
1 Remove the clamps (50), (52) and (54).
2 Remove the bellows (53) and (55).
3 Remove the duct (42) from the aircraft.
(c) Remove the bracket assembly.
Detail J:
1 Remove the bolts (61) and the washers (60).
2 Remove the bracket assembly from the aircraft.
NOTE: If necessary, loosen the clamps of the cable harness (aft of the bracket assembly) to get easier access to the aft bolts (61).
(d) Remove the rear duct (40). Detail B and H:
1 Remove the clamps (43), (63) and (64).
2 Remove the bellows (44) and (66).
3 Remove the rear duct (40) from the aircraft.
G. Safety Precautions
(1) Put the warning notices in the positions:

- In the cockpit on engine control panel 115VU to tell persons not to start the engine(s).
- In the cockpit, on the overhead panel, on the AIR COND section of control panel 30VU to tell persons not to push ENG 1 BLEED, ENG 2 BLEED and APU BLEED pushbutton switches to the ON position.
- On the HP ground connection to tell persons not to pressurize the pneumatic system.
- On potable-water service panel 2023VU to tell persons not to pressurize the potable water system.

A. Disconnection of the Pressure Switch 10MD
(1) Disconnect the electrical connector 10MD-A (2) from the pressure switch 10MD (1).
(2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.

B. Removal of the Potable Water Tank (1) Disconnect the air pressure line (16).
(2) Disconnect the connection (15) at the tank.
(3) Disconnect the connection (13).
(4) Remove the clamps (20) and the overflow line (14).
(5) Disconnect the electrical connector 3MA-A (17) from the quantity transmitter 3MA.
(6) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(7) Disconnect the connection (8).
(8) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(9) Pull the distribution line assembly (7) out of the water tank (1).
(10) Remove and discard the cotter pin (11).
(11) Remove the washer (10) and the pin (9).
(12) Remove the clamps (2).
(13) Remove the potable water tank 3000MM (1).
NOTE: Make sure that you do not dent or cause damage to the tank. Dents or damage to the tank could cause a leak to occur.
WARNING:

B. Removal of the Potable Water Tank (1) Disconnect the electrical connector 3MA-A from the quantity transmitter 3MA.
(2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(3) Disconnect the air pressure line (8).
(4) Disconnect the clamshell (6) and move the sleeve (5) back.
(5) Discard the O-rings (4).
(6) Disconnect the clamshell (18) and move the sleeve (17) over the pipe (19).
(7) Pull the distribution line assembly (16) out of the water tank.
(8) Discard the O-rings (15).
(9) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(10) Loosen the two tank attach clamps (9).
(11) Remove and discard the cotter pin (24).
(12) Remove the washer (25) and the pin (26).
(13) Remove the nuts (21) the washers (22) and the bolts (23).
(14) Remove the brackets (20).
(15) Remove the potable water tank 3000MM (10).
NOTE: Make sure that you do not dent or cause damage to the tank. Dents or damage to the tank could cause a leak to occur.
