(9) Bleed the potable water system:
(a) In each lavatory:
1 Open the manual shut-off valve.
2 Flush the toilet 15 times.
3 Set the water faucet to the cold position and let 3 l (0.8 USgal) of the decalcification solution flow through the wash-basin.
4 Set the water faucet to the hot position and let 3 l (0.8 USgal) of the decalcification solution flow through the wash-basin.
(b) In each wet galley:
1 Open the manual shut-off valve.
2 If installed, open the water faucet and let 5 l (1.3 USgal) of the decalcification solution flow through the sink.
(10) In the most forward and the most aft lavatory/wet galley do a check of the pH value of the decalcification solution. Use indicator paper (pH range from 1 to 10):
(a) Open the water faucet.
(b) Carefully let the decalcification solution flow over the indicator paper.
(c) If the test shows that the pH value is more than 2.5 do the steps 4.A.(9) and 4.A.(10) again.

- MAKE SURE THAT THE NOZZLE ASSEMBLY IS CORRECTLY INSTALLED ON THE FAUCET. IF IT IS INCORRECTLY INSTALLED, THE SOLUTION CAN FLOW OUT HORIZONTALLY.
- PUT A GUARD AROUND THE FAUCET TO KEEP THE SPRAY FROM THE SOLUTION IN THE WASHBASIN AND AWAY FROM ADJACENT SURFACES.
NOTE: If the potable water system is depressurized, the decalcification solution can flow out of the POTABLE WATER OVERFLOW port on the mid drain-panel when the potable water tank is filled.
(2) On the PWSP: (a) Turn the handle (3) from the NORMAL to the PULL TO FILL position.
(b) Pull the handle (3) out to the mechanical stop.
(3) Start the PUMP - WATER, HIGH PRESSURE to fill the potable water tank with the decalcification solution.
(4) When the decalcification solution starts to flow out of the POTABLE WATER OVERFLOW port, stop the PUMP - WATER, HIGH PRESSURE.
(5) On the PWSP, push the handle (3) and turn it to the NORMAL position to close the fill/drain valve.
