(2) Loosen the union nut (1).
(3) Cut and remove the lockwire from the retaining nut (2).
(4) Remove and retain the retaining nut (2) and the washer (3).
(5) Secure the sensing element to the bracket (5).
(6) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(7) Put the CAP - BLANKING on the socket (4).
(8) Loosen the camloc (6) and open the clamp (7).
(9) Remove the sensing element with the attached grommet (8).
(10) Remove the grommet (8) from the sensing element and retain.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position:

- in the cockpit on the AIR COND Overhead Control Panel 30VU to tell persons not to push in the APU BLEED pushbutton switch
- on the HP ground connector to tell persons not to pressurize the pneumatic system.
C. Get Access
(a) Remove the access panels 191BB and 191EB.
(2) Get access to the overheat sensing elements between FR36 and FR42 LH:
(a) Remove the access panel 191JB.
(3) Get access to the overheat sensing elements between FR34 and FR42 RH:
(a) Remove the access panels 192EB, 192FB, 192KB and 196AB.
(4) Get access to the overheat sensing elements between FR42 and FR50:
(a) Remove the access panels 147AB, 147EB, 147FB and 197BB.
(5) Get access to the overheat sensing elements between FR46 and FR49 from the AFT cargo compartment:
(a) Open the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(b) Remove the applicable access panels for the overheat sensing elements:

(1) Get access to the overheat sensing elements between FR35 and FR36: (a) Remove the access panels 191BB and 191EB.
(2) Get access to the overheat sensing elements between FR36 and FR42 LH:
(a) Remove the access panel 191JB.
(3) Get access to the overheat sensing elements between FR34 and FR42 RH:
(a) Remove the access panels 192EB, 192FB, 192KB and 196AB.
(4) Get access to the overheat sensing elements between FR42 and FR50:
(a) Remove the access panels 147AB, 147EB, 147FB and 197BB.
(5) Get access to the overheat sensing elements between FR46 and FR49 from the AFT cargo compartment:

(b) Remove the applicable access panels for the overheat sensing elements:
- between the FR46 and FR47
remove the partition panel 151BW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-11-000-001) - between the FR47 and FR49
remove the access panel 151CW.
C. Get Access
(a) Remove the access panels 191BB and 191EB.
(2) Get access to the overheat sensing-elements between FR36 and FR42 LH:
(a) Remove the access panel 191JB.
(3) Get access to the overheat sensing-elements between FR34 and FR42 RH:
(a) Remove the access panels 192EB, 192FB, 192KB and 196AB.
(4) Get access to the overheat sensing-elements between FR42 and FR50:
(a) Remove the access panels 147AB, 147EB, 147FB and 197KB.
(5) Get access to the overheat sensing elements between FR46 and FR49 from the aft cargo compartment:
(a) Open the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).

(1) Get access to the overheat sensing-elements between FR35 and FR36: (a) Remove the access panels 191BB and 191EB.
(2) Get access to the overheat sensing-elements between FR36 and FR42 LH:
(a) Remove the access panel 191JB.
(3) Get access to the overheat sensing-elements between FR34 and FR42 RH:
(a) Remove the access panels 192EB, 192FB, 192KB and 196AB.
(4) Get access to the overheat sensing-elements between FR42 and FR50:
(a) Remove the access panels 147AB, 147EB, 147FB and 197KB.
(5) Get access to the overheat sensing elements between FR46 and FR49 from the aft cargo compartment:
(a) Open the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(b) Remove the applicable access panels for the overheat sensing elements:
- Between FR46 and FR47
remove the partition panel 151BW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-11-000-001). - Between FR47 and FR47.4
remove the access panel 151RW. - Between FR47.4 and FR49
remove the access panel 151CW.

CAUTION:
REMOVE OR INSTALL THE SENSING ELEMENTS CAREFULLY. DO NOT TWIST, BEND OR CAUSE KINKS IN THE SENSING ELEMENTS. IF YOU DO, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THEM.
A. Removal of the Overheat Sensing Elements NOTE: The removal procedure for all sensing elements of the leak detection system (double loop 125 degree C) is the same.
(1) Cut and remove the lockwire from the union nut (1) and the bracket (5). (2) Loosen the union nut (1).
(3) Cut and remove the lockwire from the retaining nut (2).
(4) Remove and retain the retaining nut (2) and the washer (3).
(5) Secure the sensing element to the bracket (5).
(6) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(7) Put the CAP - BLANKING on the socket (4).
(8) Loosen the camloc (6) and open the clamp (7).
(9) Remove the sensing element with the attached grommet (8).
(10) Remove the grommet (8) from the sensing element and retain.
