Removal of the Cables
WARNING:
PUT THE SAFETY DEVICES AND THE WARNING NOTICES IN POSITION BEFORE YOU START A TASK ON OR NEAR:
- THE FLIGHT CONTROLS
- THE FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES
- THE LANDING GEAR AND THE RELATED DOORS
- COMPONENTS THAT MOVE.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Extend the slats fully (Ref. AMM TASK 27-80-00-866-004).
(2) Install the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION on the flap/slat control lever on panel 114VU.
Subtask 36-22-16-865-051-A (1) Extend the slats fully (Ref. AMM TASK 27-80-00-866-004).

D. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) in position below the applicable access panels.
(2) Remove the applicable access panels:
(a) FOR [21HF] (CABLE-CONNECTING, L WING LOOP A), [77HF] (CABLE-CONNECTING, L WING LOOP B)

(b) FOR [37HF] (CABLE-CONNECTING, R WING LOOP A), [64HF] (CABLE-CONNECTING, R WING LOOP B)
remove 192EB 192CT 192BT 621AB 621BB 621CB.
4. Procedure(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) in position below the applicable access panels.
(2) Remove the applicable access panels:
(a) FOR [21HF] (CABLE-CONNECTING, L WING LOOP A), [77HF] (CABLE-CONNECTING, L WING LOOP B)
remove 191EB 191CT 191BT 521AB 521BB 521CB
(b) FOR [37HF] (CABLE-CONNECTING, R WING LOOP A), [64HF] (CABLE-CONNECTING, R WING LOOP B)
remove 192EB 192CT 192BT 621AB 621BB 621CB.

A. Removal of the Cables
(2) Cut the cable-ties (42) from the cable (40) and/or the cable (44). Retain the spacers (41).
(3) Remove the applicable cable (40) and/or the cable (44).
(4) Cut the electrical cable at the in-line splice connector.
(a) For the cable 21HF:
14QFB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - from the connectors (19), (23) and (24) and the nut (20).
(6) For the cables 21HF(37HF):
(9) Put CAP - BLANKING on the disconnected connectors.
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
CAUTION:
MAKE MATCH MARKS ON ALL THE ELECTRICAL WIRES BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THEM. INCORRECT CONNECTION OF WIRES WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Remove the bolts (35) and the clamps (33) from the applicable cable (40) and/or the cable (44). Retain the spacers (43). (2) Cut the cable-ties (42) from the cable (40) and/or the cable (44). Retain the spacers (41).
(3) Remove the applicable cable (40) and/or the cable (44).
(4) Cut the electrical cable at the in-line splice connector.
(a) For the cable 21HF:
- at the connector 4025VS in route 2S.
- at the connector 4024VS in route 2S.
- at the connector 4001VS in route 1S.
- at the connector 4000VS in route 1S.
(6) For the cables 21HF(37HF):
- disconnect the connector (19) from the connector (23).
- disconnect the connector (24) from the connector (22)
- remove the nut (20) from the connector (22)
- remove the connector (22) from the flanged attachment (21).
(9) Put CAP - BLANKING on the disconnected connectors.
