Subtask 36-12-00-941-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Safety Precautions
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE FWD AVIONICS ACCESS DOOR 811 IS OPEN WITH A WARNING PLACARD ATTACHED TO IT. THE WARNING NOTICE MUST TELL PERSONS NOT TO CLOSE THE DOOR. THIS PREVENTS ACCIDENTAL PRESSURIZATION OF THE AIRCRAFT.
   (1) When you operate the air condioning make sure that the access door 811 is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002).
   (2) Install a WARNING NOTICE(S) on the access door 811 to tell persons not to close the access door 811.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Second aircraft:
     (a) Start the engine 2 (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-860-823).
NOTE: The engine 2 must be started before you connect the HP bleed hose.
     (b) Make sure that the APU BLEED pushbutton-switch is off (the ON legend goes off).
     (c) Make sure that the ENG 1 BLEED and the ENG 2 BLEED pushbutton-switches are off (the ON legends go off).
   (2) First aircraft:
     (a) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
     (b) Make sure that the APU BLEED pushbutton-switch is off (the ON legend goes off).
     (c) Make sure that the ENG 1 BLEED and the ENG 2 BLEED pushbutton-switches are off (the ON legends go off).

D. Get Access
CAUTION: DO NOT PUT THE HP BLEED HOSE THROUGH THE DANGER AREAS OF INTAKE SUCTION AND ENGINE EXHAUST. THIS WILL PREVENT POSSIBLE DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE AND THE HP BLEED HOSE.
   (1) Second aircraft
     (a) Open the access door 191BB.
     (b) Install the Special Tool HTE 370009.
     (c) Connect the HP bleed hose to the HP ground connector 7300HM.
   (2) First aircraft
     (a) Open the access door 191BB.
     (b) Connect the HP bleed hose to the HP ground connector 7300HM.
4. Procedure
Subtask 36-12-00-860-079-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Pressurize the Bleed System from a Second Aircraft
   (1) Second aircraft:
     (a) On AIR COND overhead panel 30VU:
  • Release the PACK 1 and PACK 2 pushbutton-switches to off.
  • Set the X-bleed selector switch to the OPEN position.
  • Push in the ENG 2 BLEED pushbutton-switch (the ON legend comes on).
     (b) If necessary, move the throttle lever to the CL notch position. This will supply 20 psi (1.3790 bar) of start air pressure to the first aircraft.
   (2) First aircraft:
     (a) On AIR COND overhead panel 30VU:
  • Set the X-bleed selector switch to the OPEN position.
     (b) Start the engine 2 (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-860-823).
NOTE: The engine 2 is started first because the HP ground connector is near to the engine 1.
NOTE: There must be a minimum of 20 psi (1.3790 bar) start air pressure.
5. Close-up
Subtask 36-12-00-410-059-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
   (1) Second aircraft:
     (a) Disconnect the HP bleed hose from the HP ground connector 7300HM.
     (b) Remove the Special Tool HTE 370009.
     (c) Close access door 191BB.
     (d) On AIR COND overhead-panel 30VU:
  • Set the X-bleed selector switch to the AUTO position.
     (e) Stop the engine 2 (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-860-814).
   (2) First aircraft:
     (a) Disconnect the HP bleed hose from the HP ground connector 7300HM.
     (b) Close access door 191BB.
     (c) On the AIR COND overhead panel 30VU:
  • Push in the ENG 2 BLEED pushbutton-switch (the ON legend comes on).

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) On the AIR COND overhead panel 30VU:
  • Push the PACK 1 and PACK 2 pushbutton-switches to ON (the OFF legends go OFF)
  • Make sure that the X-bleed selector switch is in the AUTO position.
   (2) Do the EIS stop procedure
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
   (3) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
Subtask 36-12-00-942-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
C. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (2) Close the access door 811 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-002).
   (3) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
