NOTE: Remove only the related access panels in the area where you will do the leak test.

(1) Get access to the APU bleed-air ducts between FR35 and FR36.
(a) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position below the access panels 191BB and 191EB.
(b) Remove the access panels 191BB and 191EB.
(2) Get access to the APU bleed-air ducts between FR36 and FR42.
(a) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position below the access panel 191JB.
(b) Remove the access panel 191JB.
(3) Get access to the APU bleed-air ducts between FR42 and FR50.
(a) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position below the access panels 147AB, 147EB, 147FB and 197BB.
(b) Remove the access panels 147AB, 147EB, 147FB and 197BB.
(4) Get access to the APU bleed-air ducts between FR46 and FR70 from the AFT cargo compartment.
(a) Open the AFT cargo compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(b) Remove the applicable access panels for the APU bleed-air ducts:

C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(3) On the AIR COND panel 30VU, make sure that:

The OFF legends on the PACK 1 and PACK 2 pushbutton switches are on,
the OFF legends of the ENG BLEED pushbutton switches are on,
the X-BLEED selector switch is in the SHUT position.

(4) On the ANTI ICE panel 25VU, make sure that:

The ANTI ICE pushbutton switches are off (the ON legends are off).

4. Procedure
Subtask 36-12-00-720-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Leak Test of the APU Bleed-Air Supply-System
(1) Start the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-005).

NOTE: After the APU starts, Airbus recommends you to wait for a minimum of 3 minutes for the warm up period, before you select the APU BLEED.

(2) On AIR COND panel 30VU:

Push the APU BLEED pushbutton-switch (the ON legend comes on).

(3) On the BLEED page of the lower ECAM DU, make sure that:

The APU bleed-air supply is correct.

(4) At the APU bleed-air ducts (Ref. AMM TASK 36-22-00-790-001), make sure that there are no leaks from:

Clamps
Connections
Ducts.

Subtask 36-12-00-720-050-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Leak Test of the APU Bleed-Air Supply-System
(1) Start the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-008).

NOTE: After the APU starts, Airbus recommends you to wait for a minimum of 3 minutes of warm up period before you select the APU BLEED.

(2) On AIR COND panel 30VU:

Push the APU BLEED P/BSW (the ON legend comes on).

(3) On the BLEED page of the lower ECAM DU, make sure that:

The APU bleed air-supply is correct.

(4) At the APU bleed-air ducts, make sure that there are no leaks from (Ref. AMM TASK 36-22-00-790-001):

The clamps
The connections
The ducts.

5. Close-up
Subtask 36-12-00-860-059-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
(1) On the AIR COND panel 30VU, push the APU BLEED pushbutton switch (the OFF legend comes on).
(2) Shut down the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-006).
(3) On the AIR COND panel 30VU, set the X-BLEED selector switch in the AUTO position.
(4) Do the EIS stop procedure
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
(5) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).

Subtask 36-12-00-860-059-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
(1) On the AIR COND panel 30VU, push the APU BLEED pushbutton switch (the OFF legend comes on).
(2) Shut down the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-009).
(3) On the AIR COND panel 30VU, set the X-BLEED selector switch in the AUTO position.
(4) Do the EIS stop procedure
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
(5) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).

B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) For the APU bleed-air ducts between FR35 and FR36:
(a) Install the access panels 191BB and 191EB.
(b) Remove the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) from below the access panels 191BB and 191EB.
(3) For the APU bleed-air ducts between FR36 and FR42:
(a) Install the access panel 191JB.
(b) Remove the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) from below the access panel 191JB.
(4) For the APU bleed-air ducts between FR42 and FR50:
(a) Install the access panels 147AB, 147EB, 147FB and 197BB.
(b) Remove the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) from below the access panels 147AB, 147EB, 147FB and 197BB.
(5) For the APU bleed-air ducts between the FR46 and FR47:
(a) Install the partition panel 151BW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-11-400-001).
(6) For the APU bleed-air ducts between the FR47 and FR49:

Install the access panel 151CW.

(7) For the APU bleed-air ducts between the FR49 and FR52:

Install the access panel 151DW.

(8) For the APU bleed-air ducts between the FR52 and FR55:

Install the access panel 151EW.

(9) For the APU bleed-air ducts between the FR55 and FR58:

Install the access panel 151HW.

(10) For the APU bleed-air ducts between FR58 and FR59:

Install the access panel 151JW.

(11) For the APU bleed-air ducts between the FR59 and FR62:

Install the access panel 161AW.

(12) For the APU bleed-air ducts between the FR62 and FR63:

(18) Remove the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) from below the rear fuselage.
(19) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).

(6) For the APU bleed-air ducts between the FR47 and 47.4:

Install the access panel 151RW.

(8) For the APU bleed-air ducts between the FR49 and FR52:

Install the access panel 151DW.

(9) For the APU bleed-air ducts between the FR52 and FR55:

(6) For the APU bleed-air ducts between the FR53 and FR56:

Install the access panel 151TW.

(7) For the APU bleed-air ducts between the FR56 and FR58:

Install the access panel 151UW.

(8) For the APU bleed-air ducts between the FR58 and FR59:

Install the access panel 151VW.

(9) For the APU bleed-air ducts between the FR59 and FR62:

Install the access panel 161AW.

(10) For the APU bleed-air ducts between FR62 and FR63:

Install the access panel 161BW.

(11) For the APU bleed-air ducts between the FR63 and FR65:
