B. Safety Precautions
(1) Make sure that engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(2) On the AIR COND panel 30VU:

Make sure that the ENG 1(2) BLEED pushbutton switch is released (the OFF legend is on).
Make sure that the APU BLEED pushbutton switch is released (the ON legend is off).
Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the pneumatic system.

(3) On the ENG panel 115VU:

Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start the engine 1(2).

(4) On the HP ground connector:

Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the pneumatic system.

(5) On the ENG section of the maintenance panel 50VU:

Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR 1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

4. Procedure
Subtask 36-11-53-480-056-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Preparation for the Functional Test
(1) Removal of the lockwire.

WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

(a) Remove the lockwire from the blanking plug of the OPV.
(2) Remove the blanking plug from the test port.
(3) Connect manually the 98D36109001000 TEST SET-EBAS,BLEED to the test port of the OPV.
(4) Close the shutoff valve, the purge valve and the pressure regulator valve on the 98D36109001000 TEST SET-EBAS,BLEED.

NOTE: If the air cylinder has a regulator valve, it is not necessary to install the primary regulator valve supplied with the test set.

(5) Connect manually the AIR SOURCE - REGULATED, FILTERED, DRY to the 98D36109001000 TEST SET-EBAS,BLEED.
(6) Set the digital pressure gage to zero.

B. Functional Test of the OPV 5HA1 (5HA2) with the Test Set - Engine Bleed System
(1) Do this test:

ACTION	RESULT
1.On the AIR SOURCE - REGULATED, FILTERED, DRY: Open the shutoff valve.	On the AIR SOURCE - REGULATED, FILTERED, DRY: The cylinder pressure gage shows the pressure.
2.On the AIR SOURCE - REGULATED, FILTERED, DRY: Use the primary regulator to pressurize to 100 psi (6.89 bar).	On the AIR SOURCE - REGULATED, FILTERED, DRY: The primary gage shows 100 psi (6.89 bar).
3.On the 98D36109001000 TEST SET-EBAS,BLEED: Slowly pressurize the system to get a pressure value of 90 psi (6.21 bar).	On OPV 5HA1 (5HA2): Make sure that the visual position shows that OPV 5HA1 (5HA2) is closed.
4.On the 98D36109001000 TEST SET-EBAS,BLEED: Slowly depressurize the system to open the overpressure valve.	On the 98D36109001000 TEST SET-EBAS,BLEED, read the pressure gage: When the pressure is less than 43 psi (2.96 bar) the visual position shows that OPV 5HA1 (5HA2) open.
5.On the 98D36109001000 TEST SET-EBAS,BLEED: Depressurize the system.	On OPV 5HA1 (5HA2): The visual position shows that OPV 5HA1 (5HA2) is open.
6.Depressurize the AIR SOURCE - REGULATED, FILTERED, DRY, and close the shutoff valve.

A. Disconnection of the Test Set

WARNING: BEFORE YOU START TO REMOVE THE TOOLING, MAKE SURE THAT THERE IS NO PRESSURIZED GAS LEFT INSIDE THE DUCTS. IT CAN CAUSE AN INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

(1) Close the shutoff valve of the air cylinder.
(2) Slowly open the purge valve to depressurize the test set.
(3) Disconnection of the test set.
(4) Remove the 98D36109001000 TEST SET-EBAS,BLEED from the test port.
(5) Disconnect the air cylinder from the 98D36109001000 TEST SET-EBAS,BLEED.
(6) Installation of the blanking plug on the test port.
(a) Install the blanking plug on the test port of the Over Pressure Valve.
(b) TORQUE the blanking plug of the test port to between 0.5 and 0.4 m.daN (44.25 and 35.40 lbf.in )

(7) Installation of the lockwire.

(a) Safety the blanking plug with 14QFB1Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy -.
