Removal of the Bleed Pressure Regulator Valve
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE PARTS AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. USE APPLICABLE THERMAL GLOVES. THE ENGINE PARTS CAN STAY HOT FOR ONE HOUR AFTER SHUTDOWN AND CAN BURN YOU.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM IS DEPRESSURIZED BEFORE YOU START WORK. PRESSURIZED AIR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL.

A. Removal of the Bleed Pressure-Regulator Valve
(1) If you use the APU to energize the electrical circuits, stop the APU:
(a) Make sure that the pressure and the temperature of the bleed-air duct system are in ambient conditions.
(4) Disconnect the sense hose (35) from the bleed pressure-regulator valve (30).
(5) Disconnect the HP sense tube (25) from the bleed pressure-regulator valve (30).
(6) Remove the couplings (20) and the E-seals (15) that attach the valve (30) to the interface duct (5) and the mid stage tee-duct (10).
(7) Put PLUG - BLANKING on the two ends of the bleed pressure-regulator valve (30) and on the ducts (5) and (10).
(8) Put COVER - PROTECTION on the electrical connectors on the wire harness and the bleed pressure-regulator valve (30).
(9) Put COVER - PROTECTION on the HP sense tube (25), the sense hose (35), and the bleed pressure-regulator valve (30).
(10) Remove the bleed pressure-regulator valve (30) from the engine.
(1) If you use the APU to energize the electrical circuits, stop the APU:
- For GTCP 36-300 APU (Ref. AMM D/O 49-00-00-86)
- For APS 3200 APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-006)
- For 131-9(A) APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-009).
(a) Make sure that the pressure and the temperature of the bleed-air duct system are in ambient conditions.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM IS DEPRESSURIZED BEFORE YOU START WORK. PRESSURIZED AIR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL.
WARNING:
DO NOT TOUCH THE UNIT UNTIL IT IS SUFFICIENTLY COOL TO PREVENT BURNS WHEN YOU DO THE MAINTENANCE TASK(S).
(3) Disconnect the electrical connector from the bleed pressure-regulator valve (30).
NOTE: If necessary, you can remove the HPV and IP Bleed Valve couplings to get more distance between the parts.
