(e) Make sure that the index slot is aligned.
(f) Tighten the all coupling nuts to 50 percent of the torque value written on the face of the coupling.
(g) Hit the external face of the coupling lightly with a MALLET - PLASTIC
(h) TORQUE the couplings to 100 percent of the torque value written on the face of the coupling.
(i) Lightly hit coupling again.
(j) Do this procedure again, then TORQUE the coupling to 100 percent of the value written on the face of the coupling.
(3) Make sure that the sense tube and fittings are serviceable.
(4) Apply lubricant on the sense tube.
(5) Connect the HP sense tube to the HP bleed valve (25) and make sure that the HP sense tube is in the correct position.
(6) Do the step that follows to torque the fitting.

CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE KEYWAY ON THE VALVE IS ENGAGED WITH THE KEY ON THE DUCT. IF THE POSITION OF THE KEYWAY IS NOT CORRECT, DAMAGE TO THE VALVE AND ITS PARTS CAN OCCUR.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THE SMOOTH CIRCULAR SURFACE OF THE COUPLING IS RADIALLY OUTBOARD FROM THE ENGINE. DO NOT LET THE COUPLING TOUCH ENGINE COMPONENTS OR STRUCTURE. DAMAGE TO THE COMPONENTS OR STRUCTURE COULD OCCUR.

USE TWO WRENCHES TO REMOVE OR INSTALL THE TUBE COUPLING NUTS:
(a) TORQUE the fitting on the HP sense tube to between 145 and 135 lbf.in (1.64 and 1.53 m.daN ) - ONE WRENCH TO HOLD THE UNION, AND
- ONE TO LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE COUPLING NUT.
. CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
