A. Safety Precautions
(1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002) or (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(3) Make sure that on AIR COND panel 30VU, the ENG pushbutton switches are released (the OFF legends are on).
(4) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to:
Subtask 36-11-17-860-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002) or (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM IS DEPRESSURIZED BEFORE YOU START WORK. PRESSURIZED AIR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL.
(2) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position. (3) Make sure that on AIR COND panel 30VU, the ENG pushbutton switches are released (the OFF legends are on).
(4) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to:
- Operate the engines
- Operate the slats
- Operate the APU switch
- Operate the pneumatic system.
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is below the applicable access panel 471AL or 482AR.
(2) Make sure that the applicable access panel is removed:
(a) FOR [6HA1] (SENSOR-EXCHANGER OUT TEMP, ENG 1)
remove 471AL.
(b) FOR [6HA2] (SENSOR-EXCHANGER OUT TEMP, ENG 2)
remove 482AR.
Subtask 36-11-17-860-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is below the applicable access panel 471AL or 482AR.
(2) Make sure that the applicable access panel is removed:
(a) FOR [6HA1] (SENSOR-EXCHANGER OUT TEMP, ENG 1)

A. Preparation for the Installation
(1) If you use the APU to energize the electrical circuits, stop the APU:
(a) Make sure that the pressure and the temperature of the bleed-air duct system are in ambient conditions.
(4) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(5) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
Subtask 36-11-17-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) If you use the APU to energize the electrical circuits, stop the APU:
- For GTCP 36-300 APU (Ref. AMM D/O 49-00-00-86).
- For APS 3200 APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-006)
- For 131-9(A) APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-009).
(a) Make sure that the pressure and the temperature of the bleed-air duct system are in ambient conditions.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM IS DEPRESSURIZED BEFORE YOU START WORK. PRESSURIZED AIR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL.
WARNING:
DO NOT TOUCH THE UNIT UNTIL IT IS SUFFICIENTLY COOL TO PREVENT BURNS WHEN YOU DO THE MAINTENANCE TASK(S).
(3) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) . (4) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(5) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
B. Installation of the Heat-Exchanger Outlet-Temperature Sensor
(1) Remove the CAP - BLANKING from the:
14QFB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - .
(4) Connect the electrical connector (1) to the temperature sensor (2).
Subtask 36-11-17-420-051-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the CAP - BLANKING from the:
- The temperature sensor (2)
- The sensor location on the air-bleed duct
- The electrical connector (1).
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(3) Safety the temperature sensor (2) with (4) Connect the electrical connector (1) to the temperature sensor (2).
C. Preparation for the Installation
(1) If you use the APU to energize the electrical circuits, stop the APU:
(a) Make sure that the pressure and the temperature of the bleed-air duct system are in ambient conditions.
(4) Remove the CAP - BLANKING from:
(6) Examine the condition of the temperature sensor (1) and make sure that:
Subtask 36-11-17-420-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) If you use the APU to energize the electrical circuits, stop the APU:
- For GTCP 36-300 APU (Ref. AMM D/O 49-00-00-86).
- For APS 3200 APU (Ref. AMM D/O 49-00-00-86)
- For 131-9(A) APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-009).
(a) Make sure that the pressure and the temperature of the bleed-air duct system are in ambient conditions.

(3) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) . (4) Remove the CAP - BLANKING from:
- The temperature sensor (1)
- The sensor location on the air-bleed duct
- The electrical connectors (3) and (4).
(6) Examine the condition of the temperature sensor (1) and make sure that:
- There is no corrosion
- There is no contamination
- There are no bent pins
- The sensor tubes are clean and serviceable.
D. Installation of the Heat-Exchanger Outlet-Temperature Sensor
(1) Install the new AIPC 36-11-05-07-140 O-RING (5) or the new AIPC 36-11-85-01-500 O-RING (5) on the temperature sensor (1).
(2) Install the temperature sensor (1) with the screws (2).
(3) TORQUE the screws (2) to between 0.48 and 0.37 m.daN (42.48 and 32.74 lbf.in )

(5) Connect the electrical connectors (3) and (4) to the temperature sensor (1).
(6) Tighten the electrical connectors (3) and (4) until you cannot see the witness line of the socket.
Subtask 36-11-17-865-052-A (1) Install the new AIPC 36-11-05-07-140 O-RING (5) or the new AIPC 36-11-85-01-500 O-RING (5) on the temperature sensor (1).
(2) Install the temperature sensor (1) with the screws (2).
(3) TORQUE the screws (2) to between 0.48 and 0.37 m.daN (42.48 and 32.74 lbf.in )
. WARNING:

(6) Tighten the electrical connectors (3) and (4) until you cannot see the witness line of the socket.
E. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

F. Test
(1) Do the EIS start procedure (ECAM only) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(2) On panel 11VU, push the BLEED pushbutton switch.
(3) On the lower ECAM display unit, make sure that you can see the BLEED air temperature (no amber XX).
(4) On AIR COND panel 30VU, push the ENG pushbutton switches (the OFF legend is off).
Subtask 36-11-17-790-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Do the EIS start procedure (ECAM only) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(2) On panel 11VU, push the BLEED pushbutton switch.
(3) On the lower ECAM display unit, make sure that you can see the BLEED air temperature (no amber XX).
(4) On AIR COND panel 30VU, push the ENG pushbutton switches (the OFF legend is off).
G. Functional Test
(1) Do a functional test of the engine bleed air supply system:

- Make sure that there are no leaks from the temperature sensor connections (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-00-720-004).
G. Functional Test
(1) Do a check for the correct installation:
(a) Make sure that the screws (2) are torqued and safetied with the14QFB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - .
(2) Do a functional test of the engine bleed air supply system:
(a) Make sure that there are no leaks from the temperature sensor connections (Ref. AMM TASK 36-22-00-790-802).
5. Close-up(1) Do a check for the correct installation:
(a) Make sure that the screws (2) are torqued and safetied with the
