BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE PARTS AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. USE APPLICABLE THERMAL GLOVES. THE ENGINE PARTS CAN STAY HOT FOR ONE HOUR AFTER SHUTDOWN AND CAN BURN YOU.

(1) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(2) On AIR COND panel 30VU:

(2) On AIR COND panel 30VU:
- Make sure that ENG 1(2) BLEED pushbutton switch is released (OFF legend is on).
- Make sure that the APU BLEED pushbutton switch is released (ON legend is off).
- Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the pneumatic system.
- Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell the persons not to start engine 1(2).
- Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the pneumatic system.
- Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR 1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
- Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).

D. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser System
Subtask 36-11-16-010-059-A WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (HCU) IS DEACTIVATED BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND THE THRUST REVERSER. IF THE HCU IS NOT DEACTIVATED, THERE IS A RISK OF UNWANTED THRUST REVERSER OPERATION WHICH CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Make the thrust reverser unserviceable for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-807). E. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at the pylon access.
(2) Remove the access panels:
(a) FOR [8HA1] (XDCR-BLEED REGULATED PRESS, ENG 1)

G. Disconnect the Sense Line
(2) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
Subtask 36-11-16-860-065-A WARNING:
DO NOT TOUCH THE BLEED VALVE COMPONENTS FOR A SHORT TIME AFTER THE ENGINE IS SHUTDOWN. THE ENGINE COMPONENTS STAY HOT FOR SOME TIME AND CAN CAUSE INJURY.
CAUTION:
USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTERTORQUE TO THE UNION WHEN YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT THE PNEUMATIC LINES ON UNIONS.
(1) Disconnect the sense line from the bleed regulated pressure-transducer. (2) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
H. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Adjust the brightness of the MCDU screen.
(2) On one MCDU, get the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST PNEU/SENSOR STATUS menu page (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-011).

Subtask 36-11-16-720-054-A
A. Functional Test of the Bleed Regulated Pressure-Transducer 8HA1(8HA2)
(1) Close the shutoff valve, the purge valve and the pressure regulator valve on the 98D36109001000 TEST SET-EBAS,BLEED.
(2) Connect an AIR SOURCE - REGULATED, FILTERED, DRY to the 98D36109001000 TEST SET-EBAS,BLEED.
(3) Connection of the 98D36109001000 TEST SET-EBAS,BLEED:
(a) Connect the 98D36109001000 TEST SET-EBAS,BLEED short hose to the adaptor assembly.
(b) Connect the adaptor assembly to the test port of the bleed regulated pressure-transducer.
(c) Tighten the 98D36109001000 TEST SET-EBAS,BLEED.
(4) Set the digital pressure gage back to zero.
(5) Make sure that the regulator valve of the 98D36109001000 TEST SET-EBAS,BLEED is closed before pressurize the system.
(6) Do the test that follows:
(7) Close the shutoff valve of the AIR SOURCE - REGULATED, FILTERED, DRY.
(8) Slowly open the purge valve to depressurize the 98D36109001000 TEST SET-EBAS,BLEED to 0 psi (0.0000 bar).
(9) Disconnection of the 98D36109001000 TEST SET-EBAS,BLEED:
(b) Disconnect the short hose from the adaptor assembly.
(c) Disconnect the short hose from the 98D36109001000 TEST SET-EBAS,BLEED.
5. Close-up(1) Close the shutoff valve, the purge valve and the pressure regulator valve on the 98D36109001000 TEST SET-EBAS,BLEED.
(2) Connect an AIR SOURCE - REGULATED, FILTERED, DRY to the 98D36109001000 TEST SET-EBAS,BLEED.
(3) Connection of the 98D36109001000 TEST SET-EBAS,BLEED:
(a) Connect the 98D36109001000 TEST SET-EBAS,BLEED short hose to the adaptor assembly.
(b) Connect the adaptor assembly to the test port of the bleed regulated pressure-transducer.
(c) Tighten the 98D36109001000 TEST SET-EBAS,BLEED.
(4) Set the digital pressure gage back to zero.
(5) Make sure that the regulator valve of the 98D36109001000 TEST SET-EBAS,BLEED is closed before pressurize the system.
(6) Do the test that follows:

(a) Disconnect the adaptor assembly from the test port of the bleed regulated pressure-transducer. (b) Disconnect the short hose from the adaptor assembly.
(c) Disconnect the short hose from the 98D36109001000 TEST SET-EBAS,BLEED.

(1) Close the MCDU session.
(2) Fully decrease the brightness of the MCDU screen (display off).
