3. Job Set-up
Subtask 36-11-15-860-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002) or (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Make sure that engine 1(2) is shutdown for a minimum of five minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) In the cockpit, on AIR COND panel 30VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG 1(2) BLEED pushbutton-switch is released (the OFF legend is on).
(b) Make sure that the APU BLEED pushbutton-switch is released (the ON legend is off).
(c) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in the position to tell persons not to operate the pneumatic system.
(4) In the cockpit, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in the position to tell persons not to start engine 1(2).
(5) On the HP ground connector:
(a) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in the position to tell persons not to pressurize the pneumatic system.
(6) In the cockpit, on the ENG section of panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR 1(2) pushbutton-switch is off.
(b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in the position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC system.
(7) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in the position at the pylon access.

4. Procedure
Subtask 36-11-15-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Installation of the Bleed Transferred Pressure-Transducer
(1) If you use the APU to energize the electrical circuits, stop the APU:

For GTCP 36-300 APU (Ref. AMM D/O 49-00-00-86)
For APS 3200 APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-006)
For 131-9(A) APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-009).

(2) In the cockpit, on the SD bleed page:
(a) Make sure that the pressure and the temperature of the bleed-air ducting system are in ambient conditions.

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM IS DEPRESSURIZED BEFORE YOU START WORK. PRESSURIZED AIR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL.

WARNING: DO NOT TOUCH THE UNIT UNTIL IT IS SUFFICIENTLY COOL TO PREVENT BURNS WHEN YOU DO THE MAINTENANCE TASK(S).

(3) Install a new AIPC 36-11-06-06-160 PACKING (4) on the coupling (6).
(4) Clean the threads of the coupling (6).

CAUTION: APPLY ONLY A THIN LAYER OF GREASE TO THE THREADS OF THE HOSE-ASSEMBLY COUPLING NUTS, AND REMOVE THE UNWANTED GREASE TO PREVENT CONTAMINATION OF THE HOSE ASSEMBLY. IF YOU USE TOO MUCH GREASE, IT CAN CAUSE CLOGGING OF THE HOSE ASSEMBLY OR DAMAGE TO THE RELATED COMPONENTS.

(5) Apply a thin layer of Dry lubricant-General Assembly Molybdenum Disulfide & Silicone - (Material No.03QBC1) or Lubricant-Anti Seize High Temp. - (Material No.03PBB1) to the threads of the coupling (6).
(6) Connect the coupling (6) to the pressure transducer (7).
(7) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(8) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.

CAUTION: USE TWO WRENCHES DURING DISCONNECTION OF THE SENSE LINE, ONE TO MAINTAIN THE FIXED NUT AND THE SECOND ONE TO LOOSEN/TIGHTEN THE SENSE LINE COUPLING.

(9) Put the pressure transducer (7) in position on the support (8).
(10) Install the screws (3) and the washers (2) on the pressure transducer (7) and tighten them.
(11) Connect the electrical connector (1) to the pressure transducer (7).
(12) Connect the sense line (5) to the coupling (6).
(13) TORQUE the nut to between 155.76 and 127.44 lbf.in (1.76 and 1.44 m.daN )

B. Do the BITE test of the BMC 1(2) (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-00-740-001)
(1) Make sure that the CLASS III fault message is not shown (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-00-710-002):

(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
