B. Safety Precautions
(1) Make sure that the engine shutdown occurred five minutes or more before you do this procedure.
(2) On ENG panel 115VU:

(2) On ENG panel 115VU:
- Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start the engine(s).
- Install a 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION in position on the flap and slat control lever
- Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) on the flap and slat control lever to tell persons not to operate the flap and slat controls.
- Make sure that the ENG FADEC GND PWR 1(2) pushbutton switch is released (the ON legend is off).
- Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On AIR COND panel 30VU, make sure that:

- The ENG 1 and ENG 2 BLEED pushbutton-switches are released (the OFF legends are on).
- The PACK 1 and PACK 2 pushbutton-switches are released (the OFF legends are on).
- The PACK FLOW selector switch is set to the LO position.
- The X BLEED selector switch is set to the AUTO position (on the BLEED page, the CROSSBLEED valve is shown closed).
- The APU BLEED pushbutton switch is released (the ON legend is off) (on the BLEED page, the APU BLEED valve is shown closed).
- Make sure that the ANTI ICE WING pushbutton switch is released (the ON legend is off).
D. Get access to the avionics compartment.
(2) Open access door 811 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002).
(3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to close door 811.
Subtask 36-11-00-865-161-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE FWD AVIONICS ACCESS DOOR 811 IS OPEN WITH A WARNING PLACARD ATTACHED TO IT.
THE WARNING NOTICE MUST TELL PERSONS NOT TO CLOSE THE DOOR. THIS PREVENTS ACCIDENTAL PRESSURIZATION OF THE AIRCRAFT.
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position below the access door 811. (2) Open access door 811 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002).
(3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to close door 811.
E. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) closed:

F. Get access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position.
(2) Remove these access panels:
(a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)
413ET (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-000-804).
(b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)
423ET (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-000-804).
(3) Remove the insulation from the pylon duct sleeves.
4. Procedure(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position.
(2) Remove these access panels:
(a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)
413ET (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-000-804).
(b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)
423ET (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-000-804).
(3) Remove the insulation from the pylon duct sleeves.

(3) Remove the access platform(s).

(1) Do the EIS stop procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
(2) Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
