- THE LANDING GEAR AND RELATED DOORS
- COMPONENTS THAT MOVE.
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE PARTS AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. USE APPLICABLE THERMAL GLOVES. THE ENGINE PARTS CAN STAY HOT FOR ONE HOUR AFTER SHUTDOWN AND CAN BURN YOU.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM IS DEPRESSURIZED BEFORE YOU START WORK. PRESSURIZED AIR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002) (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Do the EIS start procedure (ECAM system only) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).

(2) Do the EIS start procedure (ECAM system only) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
B. Safety Precautions
(1) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred for not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(2) On AIR COND panel 30VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG 1(2) BLEED pushbutton switch is released (the OFF legend is on).
(b) Make sure that the PACK 1(2) pushbutton switch is released (the OFF legend is on).
(c) Make sure that the PACK FLOW selector-switch is set to LO.
(d) Make sure that the APU BLEED pushbutton-switch is released (the ON legend is off).
(e) Set the X BLEED selector switch to the OPEN position.
(3) On the ENG section of maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR 1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
(4) On ENG control panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start the engine 1(2).
(5) On the ANTI ICE section of panel 25VU:
Subtask 36-11-00-010-239-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred for not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(2) On AIR COND panel 30VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG 1(2) BLEED pushbutton switch is released (the OFF legend is on).

(3) On the ENG section of maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR 1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
(4) On ENG control panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start the engine 1(2).
(5) On the ANTI ICE section of panel 25VU:
- Make sure that the ANTI-ICE WING pushbutton-switch is released (the ON legend is off).
C. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position below access door 811.
(2) Open access door 811 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002).
(3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to close access door 811.
Subtask 36-11-00-865-190-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position below access door 811.
(2) Open access door 811 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002).
(3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to close access door 811.

E. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position below the applicable pylon access panel.
(2) Remove the applicable access panel(s):
(a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)
(b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)
(3) Remove the insulation from the pylon duct sleeves.
Subtask 36-11-00-480-138-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position below the applicable pylon access panel.
(2) Remove the applicable access panel(s):
(a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)
(b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)
(3) Remove the insulation from the pylon duct sleeves.
F. Preparation for the Leak Check
(1) Connect the GROUND AIR SUPPLY 0 TO 3.5 BAR (50.76 PSI) to HP ground connector (7300HM).
(2) On the ECAM control panel, push the BLEED key:
4. Procedure(1) Connect the GROUND AIR SUPPLY 0 TO 3.5 BAR (50.76 PSI) to HP ground connector (7300HM).
(2) On the ECAM control panel, push the BLEED key:
- On the SD, the BLEED page comes into view.
- Make sure that the supplied air pressure is not more than 44 psi (3.03 bar).

A. Leak Check on the Combo Seals on the Pylon Duct Sleeves (Downstream Precooler)
(1) On the BLEED page of the SD:
(3) Stop the GROUND AIR SUPPLY 0 TO 3.5 BAR (50.76 PSI).
5. Close-up(1) On the BLEED page of the SD:
- Make sure that the bleed valves are shown closed and are in green.
- Make sure that the crossbleed valve is shown open and is in green.
(3) Stop the GROUND AIR SUPPLY 0 TO 3.5 BAR (50.76 PSI).
Subtask 36-11-00-860-212-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) Set the X BLEED selector switch to the AUTO position.
(2) Disconnect the GROUND AIR SUPPLY 0 TO 3.5 BAR (50.76 PSI) from the HP ground connector (7300HM).
Subtask 36-11-00-410-237-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Set the X BLEED selector switch to the AUTO position.
(2) Disconnect the GROUND AIR SUPPLY 0 TO 3.5 BAR (50.76 PSI) from the HP ground connector (7300HM).
B. Close Access
(1) Install the insulation on the pylon duct sleeve(s).
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Install the applicable access panel(s):
(a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)
(b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)
Subtask 36-11-00-410-232-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Install the insulation on the pylon duct sleeve(s).
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Install the applicable access panel(s):
(a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)
(b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)
C. Close Access
(1) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(2) Close access door 811 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-002).
(3) Remove the access platform(s).

(2) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002) (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
(1) Do the EIS stop procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
(2) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002) (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
