B. Safety Precautions
   (1) Make sure that engine 1 and 2 shutdown occurred for a minimum of 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
   (2) In the cockpit, on ENG panel 115VU:
  • Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start engine 1 and 2.
   (3) In the cockpit, on center pedestal panel 114VU:
  • Install a 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION in position on the flap and slat control lever (Ref. AMM TASK 27-00-00-480-002)
  • Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) on the flap and slat control lever to tell persons not to operate the flap and slat controls.
   (4) In the cockpit, on the ENG section of maintenance panel 50VU:
  • Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR 1 and 2 pushbutton switches are off
  • Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1 and 2.
   (5) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)

   (1) On AIR COND panel 30VU, make sure that:
  • The ENG 1 BLEED and ENG 2 BLEED pushbutton switches are released (OFF legends are on)
  • The PACK 1 and PACK 2 pushbutton switches are released (OFF legends are on)
  • The PACK FLOW selector switch is set to LO
  • The X BLEED selector switch is set to AUTO (the BLEED page shows that the CROSSBLEED valve is closed)
  • The APU BLEED pushbutton switch is released (the ON legend is off) (the BLEED page shows that the APU BLEED valve is closed).
   (2) On the ANTI ICE section of panel 25VU:
  • Make sure that the ANTI ICE/WING pushbutton switch is released (the ON legend is off).

  • Make sure that the ECON FLOW pushbutton switch is pushed (the ON legend is on)
  • Make sure that the X BLEED selector switch is set to AUTO (the BLEED page shows that the CROSSBLEED valve is closed)
  • Make sure that the APU BLEED pushbutton switch is released (the ON legend is off) (the BLEED page shows that the APU BLEED valve is closed).
   (2) On the ANTI ICE section of overhead panel 25VU:
  • Make sure that the ANTI ICE/WING pushbutton switch is released (the ON legend is off).

E. Get Access
   (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position at the related pylon access panel.
   (2) Remove the access panels that follow:
     (a) For the left pylon:
       1 414FR (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-000-002).
     (b) For the right pylon:
       1 423FL (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-000-002).

E. Get Access
   (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position at the related pylon access panel.
   (2) Remove the access panels that follow:
     (a) For the left pylon:
       1 471AL and 471AR (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-000-002).
     (b) For the right pylon:
       1 481AL and 481AR (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-000-002).
4. Procedure
Subtask 36-11-00-790-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Do the Leak Check of the Combo Seals of the Pylon Duct Sleeves
ACTION
RESULT
1.Start the APU to pressurize the pneumatic system:
A.After the APU starts, wait for a minimum of 3 minutes of warm up period before you select the APU BLEED.

2.On the ECAM control panel:
  • Push the BLEED key
On the lower ECAM Display Unit (DU), the BLEED page comes into view.
3.On the BLEED page:
  • Make sure that the PRV (4001HA) are shown closed.

4.On AIR COND panel 30VU:
  • Push the APU BLEED pushbutton switch.
The ON legend of the APU BLEED pushbutton switch goes on.

On the BLEED page of the lower ECAM DU:
  • The APU bleed valve is shown open (as a vertical green line).
5.Make sure that there are no leaks at the combo seals of the pylon duct sleeves (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 36-22-00-790-001).

5. Close-up
Subtask 36-11-00-860-067-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) On the AIR COND panel 30VU, release the APU BLEED pushbutton switch (the ON legend comes off).
   (2) Stop the APU:
   (3) Do the EIS stop procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).

B. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Install the access panels that follow:
     (a) For the left pylon:
       1 414FR (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-400-002).
     (b) For the right pylon:
       1 423FL (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-400-002).
   (3) Remove the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION from the flap and slat control lever (Ref. AMM TASK 27-00-00-080-002).
   (4) Remove the access platform(s).
   (5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).

   (4) Remove the access platform(s).
   (5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).

C. De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
