PERFORM LEAK CHECK ON THE COMBO SEALS ON THE PYLON DUCT SLEEVES (DOWNSTREAM PRECOOLER)
Do this procedure when you cannot start the APU.

B. Safety Precautions
   (1) Make sure that the engine 1 and 2 shutdown occurred for a minimum 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
   (2) In the cockpit, on the ENG control panel 115VU:
  • Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start the engine 1 and 2.
   (3) On the ENG section of the maintenance panel 50VU:
  • Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR 1 and 2 pushbutton switch is off.
  • Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1 and 2.

D. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Do the EIS start procedure (SD DU only) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
   (2) On the AIR COND control panel 30VU:
  • Make sure that the PACK 1 and PACK 2 pushbutton switches are released (the OFF legends are on).
  • Make sure that the PACK FLOW selector switch is set to LO.
  • Make sure that the ENG BLEED pushbutton switches are released (the OFF legends are ON).
  • Make sure that the APU BLEED pushbutton switch is released (the ON legend is off).
  • Set the X BLEED selector switch to the OPEN position.
   (3) On the ANTI ICE section of the panel 25VU:
  • Make sure that the ANTI ICE/WING pushbutton switch is released (the ON legend is OFF).

D. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Do the EIS start procedure (SD DU only) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
   (2) On the AIR COND panel 30VU:
  • Make sure that the PACK 1 and PACK 2 pushbutton switches are released (the OFF legends are on).
  • Make sure that the ECON FLOW pushbutton switch is pushed (the ON legend is on).
  • Make sure that the ENG BLEED pushbutton switches are released (the OFF legends are ON).
  • Make sure that the APU BLEED pushbutton switch is released (the ON legend is off).
  • Set the X BLEED selector switch to the OPEN position.
   (3) On the ANTI ICE section of the panel 25VU:
  • Make sure that the ANTI ICE/WING pushbutton switch is released (the ON legend is OFF).

E. Get Access
   (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position at the related pylon access panel.
   (2) Remove the access panels that follow:
     (a) For the left pylon:
       1 414FR (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-000-002).
     (b) For the right pylon:
       1 423FL (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-000-002).

E. Get Access
   (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position at the related pylon access panel.
   (2) Remove the access panels that follow:
     (a) For the left pylon:
       1 471AL and 471AR (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-000-002).
     (b) For the right pylon:
       1 481AL and 481AR (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-000-002).

F. Preparation for the Leak Check
   (1) Connect the GROUND AIR SUPPLY 0 TO 3.5 BAR (50.76 PSI) to the HP ground connector 7300HM.

   (2) On the ECAM control panel, push the BLEED key.
  • On the SD, the BLEED page comes into view.
   (3) Start the ground air-supply unit and make sure that the supplied air pressure is not more than 44 psi (3.0337 bar).
   (4) On the BLEED page of the SD:
  • Make sure that the bleed valves are shown closed and are in green
  • Make sure that the crossbleed valve is shown open and is in green.
4. Procedure
Subtask 36-11-00-790-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Perform Leak Check on the Combo Seals on the Pylon Duct Sleeves (Downstream Precooler)
   (1) Make sure that there are no leaks at the combo seals of the pylon duct sleeves (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 36-22-00-790-001).
   (2) Stop the ground air-supply unit.
5. Close-up
Subtask 36-11-00-860-070-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) Disconnect the ground air-supply unit from the HP ground connector (7300HM).

   (2) Set the X BLEED selector switch to the AUTO position.
   (3) Do the EIS stop procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).

B. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Install the access panels that follow:
     (a) For the left pylon:
       1 414FR (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-400-002).
     (b) For the right pylon:
       1 423FL (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-400-002).
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).
   (4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).

B. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Install the access panels that follow:
     (a) For the left pylon:
       1 471AL and 471AR (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-400-002).
     (b) For the right pylon:
       1 481AL and 481AR (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-400-002).
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).
   (4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
