C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the APU is not in operation.
   (2) On AIR COND panel 30VU:
  • Make sure that ENG 1(2) BLEED pushbutton switches are pushed (the OFF legends are off).
  • Make sure that the CROSSBLEED selector switch is in the AUTO position.
  • Make sure that the APU BLEED pushbutton switch is released (the ON legend is off).
   (3) Adjust the brightness of the MCDU screen.
   (4) On the MCDU get the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST/PNEU menu page (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-011).
4. Procedure
Subtask 36-11-00-740-060-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Overheat Electrical Test
   (1) If an error message shows during this procedure, record the message:
     (a) Do the related troubleshooting procedure.
   (2) Obey the instructions shown on the terminal during the test:

RESULT
1.On the MCDU:
  • Push the line key adjacent to the applicable BMC 1(2) indication.
The applicable BMC 1(2) comes into view.
2.On the MCDU:
  • Push the line key adjacent to the TEST indication.
The BMC 1(2)/TEST comes into view.
3.On the MCDU:
  • Push the line key adjacent to the OVERHEAT ELECTRICAL TEST indication.
  • The BMC 1(2)/OVERHEAT ELEC TEST IN PROGRESS 10S page comes into view.
  • The TEST RESULT page comes into view with the status (short, open, operative) of each loop.
NOTE: On the TEST RESULT page, when you push the line key in front of each loop, one more page is available for each loop.
This new page gives the data related to the Centre Wire Resistance (CWR) and the Secure Communication Interface (SCI) values of each loop.
It is not necessary to look at these pages for the BMC overheat electrical-test. Only the condition (short, open or operative) of each loop can be identified by this test.
4.On the MCDU:
  • Push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication until the MAINTENANCE MENU page comes into view.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (2) On the MCDU:
     (a) Fully decrease the brightness of the MCDU screen (display off).

B. De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
