C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) On the AIR COND panel:
  • Make sure that the ENG 1(2) bleed pushbutton switches are pushed (OFF legends off).
  • Make sure that the crossbleed selector switch is in the AUTO position.
  • Make sure that the APU BLEED pushbutton switch is released (ON legend off).
   (2) On THE MCDU:
     (a) Adjust the brightness of the MCDU screen.
     (b) On one MCDU, get the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST/PNEU page (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-011).
4. Procedure
Subtask 36-11-00-740-056-A
A. BITE Test of the EBAS Application
  • During this procedure, if an error message comes into view, record it. Then do the related trouble shooting procedure.
NOTE: During the test, obey the instructions shown on the terminal.
ACTION
RESULT
1.On the MCDU:
  • Push the line key adjacent to the applicable BMC 1(2) indication.
The applicable BMC 1(2) page comes into view.
2.On the MCDU:
  • Push the line key adjacent to the TEST indication.
The BMC 1(2)/TEST page comes into view.
3.On the MCDU:
  • Push the line key adjacent to the EPF TEST indication.
The BMC 1(2)/EPF TEST/CHECK INITIAL CONDITIONS page comes into view.
  • Initial conditions:
    * BLEED PRESSURE NOT AVAILABLE
    * BLEED SYSTEM NOT IN SINGLE BLEED CONFIG
    * ENGINE OFF.
4.On the MCDU:
  • Push the line key adjacent to the CONTINUE indication.
The BMC 1(2)/EPF TEST/CHECK INITIAL CONDITIONS page comes into view.
  • Initial conditions:
    * ENGINES NOT IN START SEQUENCE
    * BMC1(2) SWITCH ON.
5.On the MCDU:
  • Push the line key adjacent to the CONTINUE indication.
The BMC 1(2)/LRU'S PNEU FUNCTIONS NOT CHECKED DURING TEST page comes into view.
  • EPF TEST IN PROGRESS 60S.
  • The TEST RESULT page comes into view with the EPF TEST results:
  • If the test is OK:
    * LRU'S PNEU FUNCTIONS NOT CHECKED DURING TEST/EPF TEST OK comes into view.
  • If the test is not OK:
    * LRU'S PNEU FUNCTIONS NOT CHECKED DURING TEST/failure messages and CLASS comes into view.
6.On the MCDU:
  • Push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication until the MAINTENANCE MENU page comes into view.

5. Close-up

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (2) On the MCDU:
     (a) Fully decrease the brightness of the MCDU screen (display off).

B. De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
