C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the APU is not in operation.
   (2) On AIR COND panel 30VU:
  • Make sure that ENG 1(2) bleed pushbutton switches are pushed (the OFF legends are off).
  • Make sure that the crossbleed selector switch is set to AUTO.
  • Make sure that APU BLEED pushbutton switch is released (the ON legend is off).
   (3) Adjust the brightness of the MCDU screen.
   (4) On one MCDU, get the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST PNEU menu page (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-011).
4. Procedure
Subtask 36-11-00-740-052-A
A. BITE Test of the Engine Bleed Air System(EBAS)
   (1) During this procedure, if an error message is shown, record the message. Then do the related troubleshooting procedure.
   (2) Do this test:
NOTE: During the test, obey the instruction shown on the terminal.
ACTION
RESULT
1.On the MCDU:
  • Push the line key adjacent to the applicable BMC 1(2) indication.
The applicable BMC 1(2) page comes into view.
2.On the MCDU:
  • Push the line key adjacent to the TEST indication.
The BMC 1(2)/TEST page comes into view.
3.On the MCDU:
  • Push the line key adjacent to the ELECTRICAL TEST indication.
The BMC 1(2)/ELECTRICAL TEST/CHECK INITIAL CONDITIONS page comes into view.
  • Check the initial conditions:
    * BLEED PRESSURE NOT AVAILABLE.
    * BLEED SYSTEM NOT IN SINGLE BLEED CONFIG.
    * ENGINES OFF.
4.On the MCDU:
  • Push the line key adjacent to the CONTINUE indication.
The BMC 1(2)/ELECTRICAL TEST/CHECK INITIAL CONDITIONS page comes into view.
  • Check the initial conditions:
    * ENGINES NOT IN START SEQUENCE
    * APU NOT BLEEDING
    * HPGC NOT BLEEDING.
5.On the MCDU:
  • Push the line key adjacent to the CONTINUE indication.
The BMC 1(2)/LRU'S PNEU FUNCTIONS NOT CHECKED DURING TEST/ELECTRICAL TESTING PROGRESS page comes into view.
  • The indication ELECTRICAL TEST IN PROGRESS is shown for some seconds.
  • The TEST RESULT page comes into view with the ELECTRICAL TEST OK indication.
6.On the MCDU:
  • Push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication until the MAINTENANCE MENU page comes into view.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (2) On the MCDU:
     (a) Push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication until the MAINTENANCE MENU 1/2 page comes into view.
     (b) Fully decrease the brightness of the MCDU screen (display off).

B. De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
