4. Procedure
Subtask 36-11-00-480-056-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Tool
   (1) Connect the 99127B03 BLEED TEST SET (T01) to the sense line tester (T10) as shown in the figure.
NOTE: Use the 99127-231 TEST SET BLEED - KIT to do this test.
NOTE: Set the pressure gauge (5) to ON. The pressure value shown on the LCD screen must be equal to 0 psi (0 bar). If it is not equal to 0 psi (0 bar), push the ON button for 10 seconds.
   (2) Connect the 28VDC electrical cord (T03) between the electrical inlet (11) of the 99127B03 BLEED TEST SET (T01) and an external SUPPLY - 28 VDC, ELECTRICAL:
  • Start the SUPPLY - 28 VDC, ELECTRICAL.
CAUTION: USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTERTORQUE TO THE UNION WHEN YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT THE PNEUMATIC LINES ON UNIONS.
   (3) Disconnection of the sense line:
NOTE: Loosen the pneumatic union a quarter turn with a spanner. Then shake the sense line with your hand to prevent cross thread damage to the pneumatic union.
To prevent damage to the fitting end of the sense line, turn the union with your hand and not with a spanner.
     (a) Disconnect the sense line from the union of the duct assy.
   (4) Put the blanking plug (T16) on the duct assy.
   (5) Connection of the sense line adaptor (T20):
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THE ADAPTOR T20 IS CORRECTLY TIGHTENED ON THE SENSE LINE.
     (a) Connect the sense line adaptor (T20) to the sense line union and TORQUE to between 1.1 and 0.9 m.daN (97.35 and 79.65 lbf.in ) T.
   (6) Open the pressure-source shut-off valve slowly and pressurize the
99127B03 BLEED TEST SET (T01) to 30 psi (2.07 bar).

B. Test
ACTION
RESULT
1.On the sense line tester:
  • Open the valves 1 and 2.
On the sense line tester:
  • The two valves are aligned with the pneumatic ducts.
2.On the test set:
  • Set the Blue valve (7) to ON.

3.On the test set:
  • With the pressure gauge A (3), increase the pressure to between 21 and 22 psi (1.45 and 1.52 bar).
On the test set:
  • The pressure value shows on the LCD (5).
4.On the sense line tester:
  • Close the valve 1.
On the sense line tester:
  • The valve 1 is not aligned with the pneumatic duct.

On the test set:
  • The pressure value on the LCD (5) must be equal to the input pressure value (with a tolerance of +/- 0.2 psi (+/- 0.01 bar).
Subtask 36-11-00-080-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
C. Removal of the Tool
   (1) With the pressure gauge A (3), decrease the pressure to 0 psi (0 bar).
   (2) Stop the SUPPLY - 28 VDC, ELECTRICAL.
   (3) Disconnect the 28VDC electrical cord (T03) from the electrical inlet (11) of the 99127B03 BLEED TEST SET (T01) and the external SUPPLY - 28 VDC, ELECTRICAL.
   (4) Disconnect and remove the 99127B03 BLEED TEST SET (T01), the sense line tester (T10) and the sense line adaptor (T20) from the sense line union.
   (5) Remove the blanking plug (T16) from the duct assy.
CAUTION: USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTERTORQUE TO THE UNION WHEN YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT THE PNEUMATIC LINES ON UNIONS.
   (6) Connection of the sense line:
NOTE: There must be no grease or oil on the pneumatic and sense line unions.
     (a) Connect the sense line to the union of the duct assy.
NOTE: To prevent damage to the fitting end of the sense line, turn the union with your hand and not with a spanner.
     (b) Do the double torque method on the union of the sense line to between 1.76 and 1.44 m.daN (12.98 and 10.62 lbf.ft ) T.
NOTE: Double torque method: Torque a first time the union of the sense line to the given value. Loosen the union of the sense line a quarter of a turn. Then torque a second time the union to the given value.
     (c) Make a mark on the union of the sense line with paint.
