A. Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

B. Safety Precautions
   (1) Make sure that the shutdown of engine 1(2) occurred a minimum of five minutes before you do the procedure.
   (2) On AIR COND panel 30VU:
  • Make sure that the ENG 1(2) BLEED pushbutton switch is released (the OFF legend is on).
  • Make sure that the APU BLEED pushbutton switch is released (the ON legend is off).
  • Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to operate the pneumatic system.
   (3) On ENG panel 115VU:
  • Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine 1(2).
   (4) ON the HP ground connector:
  • Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to pressurize the pneumatic system.
   (5) On MAINTENANCE panel 50VU:
  • Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR 1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
  • Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).

E. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (HCU) IS DEACTIVATED BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND THE THRUST REVERSER. IF THE HCU IS NOT DEACTIVATED, THERE IS A RISK OF UNWANTED THRUST REVERSER OPERATION WHICH CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
   (1) Make the thrust reverser unserviceable for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-807).
4. Procedure
Subtask 36-11-00-440-121-A
A. Reactivation of the Overpressure Valve
WARNING: DO NOT TOUCH THE BLEED VALVE COMPONENTS FOR A SHORT TIME AFTER THE ENGINE IS SHUTDOWN. THE ENGINE COMPONENTS STAY HOT FOR SOME TIME AND CAN CAUSE INJURY.
   (1) On the overpressure valve:
     (a) Loosen the locking pin (1) from the locking port.
     (b) Install the locking pin (1) in the storage port.
     (c) TORQUE the locking pin (1) to between 5 and 4 m.daN (36.87 and 29.50 lbf.ft ) T
     (d) Use a hand WRENCH - HEXAGONAL to make sure that the manual override moves freely.

B. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Install the access panels:
     (a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

     (b) FOR [1000EM2] (ENGINE-2)
423CT.
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).
   (4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (5) Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
