A. Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

B. Safety Precautions
(1) Make sure that the engine 1(2) is shut down occurred not less than 5 minutes.
(2) On the AIR COND panel 30VU:

make sure that the ENG 1(2) BLEED pushbutton switch is released (the OFF legend is on)
make sure that the APU BLEED pushbutton switch is released (the ON legend is off)
put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to operate the pneumatic system.

(3) On the ENG panel 115VU:

put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine 1(2).

(4) On the HP ground connector:

put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to pressurize the pneumatic system.

(5) On the MAINTENANCE panel 50VU:

make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR 1(2) pushbutton switch is off
put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

H. Deactivate the Thrust Reverser

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (HCU) IS DEACTIVATED BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND THE THRUST REVERSER. IF THE HCU IS NOT DEACTIVATED, THERE IS A RISK OF UNWANTED THRUST REVERSER OPERATION WHICH CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

(1) Deactivate the thrust reverser Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-012).

A. Reactivation of the Bleed Pressure Regulator Valve

CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE PACKING IS IN POSITION WHEN YOU INSTALL THE LOCKING PIN ON ITS SUPPORT. THIS WILL PREVENT VENTING OF THE VALVE REGULATOR.

(1) On bleed-pressure regulator valve P/N 6774B02 and 6714D01 to 6714D06:

Bleed-Pressure Regulator Valve P/N 6774B02 ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

Bleed-Pressure Regulator Valve ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(a) Remove the knurled screw (1) from the override control to unlock the valve.
(b) Install the washer (2) on the knurled screw (1).
(c) Install the knurled screw (1) as follows:

CAUTION: BEFORE YOU INSTALL THE LOCKING PIN OR SAFETY SCREW OR SPECIAL SCREW OR KNURLED SCREW, YOU MUST APPLY NEVER-SEEZ REGULAR GRADE. IF YOU DO NOT APPLY IT, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE MANUAL OVERRIDE CONTROL OF THE VALVE.

1 Apply NEVERSEEZ REGULAR GRADE (Material No.357500) or NEVER-SEEZ PURE NICKEL SPECIAL (Material No.357700) on the knurled screw (1).
2 Install the knurled screw (1) on its storage port.
3 Tighten the knurled screw (1) with your hand.
(d) Install the lockwire as follows:

WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

1 Safety the knurled screw (1) with 14QEB1Wire-Locking Dia: 0.6 mm CRES Nickel Alloy -.
(2) On bleed-pressure regulator valve P/N 6774B03 and 6714D07:

Bleed-Pressure Regulator Valve P/N 6774B03 ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

Bleed-Pressure Regulator Valve P/N 6714D07 ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(a) Remove the safety screw (1) from the override control to unlock the valve.
(b) Install the washer (2) on the safety screw (1).
(c) Install the safety screw (1) as follows:

1 Apply NEVERSEEZ REGULAR GRADE (Material No.357500) or NEVER-SEEZ PURE NICKEL SPECIAL (Material No.357700) on the safety screw (1).
2 Install the safety screw (1) on its storage port.
3 TORQUE the safety screw (1) to between 0.7 and 0.6 m.daN (61.95 and 53.10 lbf.in )

(d) Install the lockwire as follows:

1 Safety the safety screw (1) with 14QEB1Wire-Locking Dia: 0.6 mm CRES Nickel Alloy -.
(3) On bleed-pressure regulator valve P/N 6774E:

Bleed-Pressure Regulator Valve P/N 6774E ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE PACKING IS IN POSITION WHEN YOU INSTALL THE LOCKING PIN ON ITS SUPPORT. THIS WILL PREVENT VENTING OF THE VALVE REGULATOR.

(a) Remove the special screw (1) from the override control to unlock the valve.
(b) Install the washer (2) on the special screw (1).
(c) Install a new AIPC 36-11-52-01-150 PACKING (3).
(d) Install the special screw (1) as follows:

1 Apply NEVERSEEZ REGULAR GRADE (Material No.357500) or NEVER-SEEZ PURE NICKEL SPECIAL (Material No.357700) on the special screw (1).
2 Install the special screw (1) on its storage port with washer (2).
3 Tighten the special screw (1) with your hand.
(e) Install the lockwire as follows:

1 Safety the special screw (1) with 14QEB1Wire-Locking Dia: 0.6 mm CRES Nickel Alloy -.
(4) On bleed-pressure regulator valve P/N 6774F and P/N 6774G:

Bleed-Pressure Regulator Valve P/N 6774G ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE PACKING IS IN POSITION WHEN YOU INSTALL THE LOCKING PIN ON ITS SUPPORT. THIS WILL PREVENT VENTING OF THE VALVE REGULATOR.

(a) Remove the safety screw (1) from the override control to unlock the valve.
(b) Install a new AIPC 36-11-52-01-030 PACKING (2).
(c) Install the safety screw (1) as follows:

(d) Install the lockwire as follows:

1 Safety the safety screw (1) with 14QEB1Wire-Locking Dia: 0.6 mm CRES Nickel Alloy -.
(5) On the AIR COND panel 30VU:

Push the ENG 1 (2) BLEED pushbutton switch (the OFF legend is off).
