B. Safety Precautions
(1) Make sure that the engine shutdown occurred five minutes or more before you do this procedure.
(2) In the cockpit, on AIR COND panel 30VU:
(a) The ENG 1 BLEED and ENG 2 BLEED pushbutton-switches are in the OFF position (the OFF legends are on).
(b) The APU BLEED pushbutton switch is in the OFF position (the ON legend is off).
(c) The PACK 1 and 2 pushbutton switches are in the OFF position (the OFF legends are on).
(d) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the pneumatic system.
(3) In the cockpit, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1 and 2 control switches are in the OFF position, not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the ENG/MODE selector switch and the ENG/MASTER 1 and 2 control switches.
(4) In the cockpit, on APU panel 25VU:
(a) Make sure that the FAULT and ON legends of the pushbutton switch MASTER SW are off.
(b) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start the APU.
(5) Open access door 191DB, on the HP ground connector:
(a) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the pneumatic system.
(6) In the cockpit, on the ENG section of maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR 1 and 2 pushbutton-switches are off.
(b) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1 and 2.
(8) In the cockpit, on FLAPS panel 114VU:
(a) Put a 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION in position on the flap/slat control lever (Ref. AMM TASK 27-00-00-480-002).
(b) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position on the flap/slat control lever to tell persons not to operate the flap/slat controls.

BEFORE YOU START WORK, YOU MUST PUT ON A SAFETY HARNESS AND ATTACH IT TO THE ACCESS PLATFORM. WITHOUT A SAFETY HARNESS, YOU CAN FALL. THIS CAN KILL YOU OR CAUSE YOU INJURY.
(7) Put on and attach the HARNESS, SAFETY before you start work in the work area.(8) In the cockpit, on FLAPS panel 114VU:
(a) Put a 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION in position on the flap/slat control lever (Ref. AMM TASK 27-00-00-480-002).
(b) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position on the flap/slat control lever to tell persons not to operate the flap/slat controls.

A. Detailed Visual Inspection of the EBAS
(a) Do the borescope inspection of the ECS HP air-ducts (MID Y-Duct) for one of the signs of Foreign Object Damage (FOD):
(2) For the Pressure Regulating Valve (PRV), Overpressure Valve (OPV), header of the HP/LP T-duct and pylon ducts:
1 Visually examine the PRV for one of the signs of FOD:
(3) For bleed-air PreCooler Exchanger (PCE) 7150HM1 (7150HM2):
(a) Remove bleed-air PCE 7150HM1 (7150HM2) (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-42-000-802).
(b) Visually examine the bleed-air PCE with an MIRROR - INSPECTION, FLEXIBLE and an LIGHT SOURCE - INSPECTION for one of the signs of FOD and the metallic debris:
(c) Install serviceable bleed-air PCE 7150HM1 (7150HM2) (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-42-400-802).
5. Close-upNOTE: If the borescope length is sufficient to examine the remaining position from the removed valve holes:
- The parts of the valve removal is not necessary as the inspection is made by the borescope from the other valve holes.
NOTE: The visual quality of the borescope is important to have the sufficient visual precision during the inspection.
NOTE: Airbus recommends you to use a BORESCOPE SET for the borescope inspection.
(1) For the HPV and the Environmental Control System (ECS) HP ducts (MID Y-Duct):(a) Do the borescope inspection of the ECS HP air-ducts (MID Y-Duct) for one of the signs of Foreign Object Damage (FOD):
- If the metallic debris are found, remove metallic debris.
(2) For the Pressure Regulating Valve (PRV), Overpressure Valve (OPV), header of the HP/LP T-duct and pylon ducts:
NOTE: This procedure is applicable for the pipes from the HPV to the Intermediate Pressure (IP) bleed check-valve, OPV, Starter Air Valve (SAV) and PRV.
(a) Remove PRV 4001HA1 (4001HA2) (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-52-000-802):1 Visually examine the PRV for one of the signs of FOD:
- Metallic debris are found stuck in the butterfly valve
- Dents and missing segments are present.
- Replace and install serviceable PRV 4001HA1 (4001HA2) (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-52-400-802). Not to install the PRV at this step.
NOTE: This procedure is applicable for the air ducts from the OPV to the IP bleed check-valve, HPV and SAV.
- If metallic debris are found, remove metallic debris.
- Metallic debris are found stuck in the butterfly valve
- Dents and missing segments are present.
- Replace OPV 7115HM1 (7115HM2) (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-53-000-802) and (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-53-400-802).
- Metallic debris are found stuck in the butterfly valve
- Dents and missing segments are present.
- Replace the IP bleed check-valve (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-41-000-802) and (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-41-400-802).
(3) For bleed-air PreCooler Exchanger (PCE) 7150HM1 (7150HM2):
(a) Remove bleed-air PCE 7150HM1 (7150HM2) (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-42-000-802).
(b) Visually examine the bleed-air PCE with an MIRROR - INSPECTION, FLEXIBLE and an LIGHT SOURCE - INSPECTION for one of the signs of FOD and the metallic debris:
- If FOD or metallic debris are found, remove metallic debris.
(c) Install serviceable bleed-air PCE 7150HM1 (7150HM2) (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-42-400-802).

F. Close Access
(1) Close the fan cowl doors:
(a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)

(b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)

(2) Remove all the fixtures, tools, test and support equipment used during this procedure.
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) In the cockpit, on FLAPS panel 114VU:
(a) Remove the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION from the flap/slat control lever (Ref. AMM TASK 27-00-00-080-002).
(5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(6) Close access door 191DB.
