WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM IS DEPRESSURIZED BEFORE YOU START WORK. PRESSURIZED AIR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL.
WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE PARTS AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. USE APPLICABLE THERMAL GLOVES. THE ENGINE PARTS CAN STAY HOT FOR ONE HOUR AFTER SHUTDOWN AND CAN BURN YOU.

A. Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

B. Safety Precautions
   (1) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
   (2) On AIR COND control panel 30VU:
  • Make sure that the ENG 1(2) BLEED pushbutton-switch is released (the OFF legend is on)
  • Make sure that the APU BLEED pushbutton-switch is released (the ON legend is off)
  • Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the pneumatic system.
   (3) On ENG control panel 115VU:
  • Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start the engine 1(2).
   (4) On APU panel 25VU:
     (a) Make sure that the FAULT and ON legends in pushbutton switch MASTER SW are off.
     (b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start the APU.
   (5) On the HP ground connector:
  • Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the pneumatic system.
   (6) On the ENG section of maintenance panel 50VU:
  • Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR 1(2) pushbutton-switch is off
  • Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

   (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position below access door 811.
   (2) Open access door 811 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002).
   (3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to close access door 811.

Subtask 36-11-00-210-060-A
A. Visual Inspection of the Bleed-Air Duct System
   (1) FOR [7260HM] (CHECK VALVE-APU BLEED)
     (a) Remove the APU bleed check-valve (Ref. AMM TASK 36-12-51-000-001).
     (b) Visually inspect the APU bleed check-valve for any sign of Foreign Object Damage (FOD):
  • Scratches, dents and missing segments
  • Signs and impacts.
     (c) If any of the above signs are found:
     (d) If any of the above signs are not found:
   (2) FOR [6HV] (CROSSBLEED VALVE)
     (a) Remove the crossbleed valve (Ref. AMM TASK 36-12-52-000-001).
     (b) Visually inspect the crossbleed valve for any sign of FOD:
  • Scratches, dents and missing segments
  • Signs and impacts.
     (c) If any of the above signs are found:
     (d) If any of the above signs are not found:
   (3) FOR [7150HM]
     (a) Remove bleed-air precooler exchanger 7150HM1 (7150HM2) (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-42-000-804).
     (b) Visually inspect the bleed-air precooler exchanger for any sign of FOD:
  • Scratches, dents and missing segments
  • Signs and impacts.
     (c) If any of the above signs are found:
     (d) If any of the above signs are not found:
   (4) FOR [7300HM] (HP GROUND-CONNECTOR)
     (a) Remove the HP ground connector (Ref. AMM TASK 36-13-41-000-001).
     (b) Visually inspect the HP ground connector for any sign of FOD:
  • Scratches, dents and missing segments
  • Signs and impacts.
     (c) If any of the above signs are found:
     (d) If any of the above signs are not found:
   (5) FOR [5HA1] , [5HA2]
     (a) Remove the overpressure valve (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-53-000-803).
     (b) Visually inspect the overpressure valve for any sign of FOD:
  • Scratches, dents and missing segments
  • Signs and impacts.
     (c) If any of the above signs are found:
     (d) If any of the above signs are not found:
   (6) FOR [7270HM] (CHECKVALVE-PRESS.SERVICE), [7272HM] (CHECKVALVE-PRESS.SERVICE)
     (a) Remove the pressure service check-valve (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-56-000-001).
     (b) Visually inspect the pressure service check-valve for any sign of FOD:
  • Scratches, dents and missing segments
  • Signs and impacts.
     (c) If any of the above signs are found:
     (d) If any of the above signs are not found:

   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (3) Close access door 811 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-002).
   (4) Remove the access platform(s).
