A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(2) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
Subtask 35-12-41-010-057-A WARNING:
WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE GASEOUS OXYGEN SYSTEM, MAKE SURE THAT YOU OBEY ALL THE APPLICABLE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THESE PRECAUTIONS, INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT CAN OCCUR.
(1) Obey the special precautions when you do work on a gaseous oxygen system (Ref. AMM TASK 35-00-00-860-001).(2) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
B. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at access door 812.
(2) Open access door 812 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002).
(3) Get access to the avionics compartment.

C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Fully close the manual shutoff valve of the crew oxygen-storage cylinder (5750HM).
(2) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to open the manual shutoff valve of the oxygen storage cylinder (5750HM).
Subtask 35-12-41-860-070-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Fully close the manual shutoff valve of the crew oxygen-storage cylinder (5750HM).
(2) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to open the manual shutoff valve of the oxygen storage cylinder (5750HM).
C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Fully close the manual shutoff valves of the crew oxygen-storage cylinders (5750HM1 and 5750HM2).
(2) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to open the manual shutoff valves of the crew oxygen-storage cylinders (5750HM1 and 5750HM2).
Subtask 35-12-41-870-056-A (1) Fully close the manual shutoff valves of the crew oxygen-storage cylinders (5750HM1 and 5750HM2).
(2) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to open the manual shutoff valves of the crew oxygen-storage cylinders (5750HM1 and 5750HM2).
D. Bleeding of the Crew Oxygen System
(1) Release the pressure from the crew oxygen system (Ref. AMM TASK 35-10-00-870-801).
(2) In the cockpit, on the OXYGEN section of overhead panel 21VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to push the CREW SUPPLY pushbutton switch.
Subtask 35-12-41-860-071-A (1) Release the pressure from the crew oxygen system (Ref. AMM TASK 35-10-00-870-801).
(2) In the cockpit, on the OXYGEN section of overhead panel 21VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to push the CREW SUPPLY pushbutton switch.
E. (1) For the location of the full-face/quick donning oxygen-mask (Ref. AMM D/O 35-12-00-00) .
(2) Open the flap doors of the related stowage box (5).
(4) Put the full-face/quick-donning oxygen mask in a BAG - VINYL.
(5) Move the full-face/quick-donning oxygen mask away from its stowage box (5).
(6) Move the hose of the full-face/quick-donning oxygen mask away from the stowage box (5).
4. Procedure(2) Open the flap doors of the related stowage box (5).
WARNING:
DO NOT DISCONNECT THE FULL-FACE/QUICK-DONNING OXYGEN-MASK FROM ITS STOWAGE BOX. IF YOU DISCONNECT IT, THERE CAN BE A LEAK OF OXYGEN THAT CAN CAUSE INJURY.
(3) Hold the full-face/quick-donning oxygen mask with the red harness-inflation control-plates (3) (on the oxygen mask regulator) and remove it from its stowage box (5). Do not disconnect it.(4) Put the full-face/quick-donning oxygen mask in a BAG - VINYL.
(5) Move the full-face/quick-donning oxygen mask away from its stowage box (5).
(6) Move the hose of the full-face/quick-donning oxygen mask away from the stowage box (5).
NOTE: This is to let the left flap door of the stowage box (5) move freely.
(7) Put a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) in and around the oxygen-mask stowage box (5) to prevent damage to the pneumatic circuit, the flexible hose (4) and the console. CAUTION:
BEFORE YOU APPLY THE LUBRICATING AGENT, YOU MUST FIRST:
Subtask 35-12-41-640-050-A - SHAKE THE LUBRICATING AGENT SPRAY-CAN, THEN
- POINT THE SPRAY HEAD DOWN AND BLEED UNTIL THERE ARE NO MORE WHITE PROJECTIONS.
A. Lubrication of the Left Flap Door of the Oxygen-Mask Stowage Box
(1) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) to prevent damage to the equipment from lubricant.
(2) Apply Release Agent-- PTFE Loaded - (Material No.14DDB1) in the areas that follow:
(a) When the left flap door is in the open position:
1 Spray Release Agent-- PTFE Loaded - (Material No.14DDB1) for two seconds in the hole at the bottom of the left flap door.
2 Remove the unwanted lubricant with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(b) When the left flap door is in the closed position:
1 Spray Release Agent-- PTFE Loaded - (Material No.14DDB1) for two seconds behind the PRESS TO TEST AND RESET control button.
2 Remove the unwanted lubricant with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) Wait approximately for five minutes until white signs come into view.
(4) Remove all the protection.
(5) Operate the left flap-door mechanism five times.
To do this, push and then release the PRESS TO TEST AND RESET control button:
5. Close-up(1) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) to prevent damage to the equipment from lubricant.

(3) Wait approximately for five minutes until white signs come into view.
(4) Remove all the protection.
(5) Operate the left flap-door mechanism five times.
To do this, push and then release the PRESS TO TEST AND RESET control button:
- The OXY ON flag comes into view when you push the PRESS TO TEST AND RESET control button.
- The OXY ON flag goes out of view when you release the PRESS TO TEST AND RESET control button.
Subtask 35-12-41-860-072-A
A. (1) Wind three quarters of the full length of the microphone cable and the flexible hose (4). Put them at the bottom of the stowage box (5).
(2) During the steps that follow, make sure that the microphone cable and the flexible hose (4) stay in their position.
(3) Remove the full-face/quick-donning oxygen mask from the BAG - VINYL
(4) Put the harness straight against the mask and then, the microphone cable and the flexible hose (4) straight against the harness.
(5) Make sure that the flexible hose (4) is not folded in the stowage box (5).
(6) Put the remaining hose in the middle of the mask (1) and fold the two parts of the harness together.
(7) Put the mask (1) in the stowage box (5).
(8) Make sure that the red harness-inflation control-plates are up and the markings are in view.
(9) Make sure that the regulator (2) is fully installed against the stop in the stowage box (5).
(10) Adjust the regulator (2) to the center.
(11) Close the left flap door.
(12) Close the right flap door and make sure that you do not compress the flexible hose (4).
Subtask 35-12-41-710-053-A (2) During the steps that follow, make sure that the microphone cable and the flexible hose (4) stay in their position.
(3) Remove the full-face/quick-donning oxygen mask from the BAG - VINYL
(4) Put the harness straight against the mask and then, the microphone cable and the flexible hose (4) straight against the harness.
(5) Make sure that the flexible hose (4) is not folded in the stowage box (5).
(6) Put the remaining hose in the middle of the mask (1) and fold the two parts of the harness together.
(7) Put the mask (1) in the stowage box (5).
(8) Make sure that the red harness-inflation control-plates are up and the markings are in view.
(9) Make sure that the regulator (2) is fully installed against the stop in the stowage box (5).
(10) Adjust the regulator (2) to the center.
(11) Close the left flap door.
(12) Close the right flap door and make sure that you do not compress the flexible hose (4).
B. Test
(1) Open the valve of the oxygen cylinder slowly but not fully.
(2) Wait for approximately one minute and let the pressure become stable.
(3) Fully open the valve of the oxygen cylinder.
(4) Make sure that the mask is correctly installed in the box:
(a) On the overhead panel, on the OXYGEN section of panel 21VU:
Subtask 35-12-41-410-055-A (1) Open the valve of the oxygen cylinder slowly but not fully.
(2) Wait for approximately one minute and let the pressure become stable.
(3) Fully open the valve of the oxygen cylinder.
(4) Make sure that the mask is correctly installed in the box:
(a) On the overhead panel, on the OXYGEN section of panel 21VU:
- Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
- Push the OXYGEN/CREW SUPPLY pushbutton switch. The OFF legend goes off.
- Push the PRESS TO TEST AND RESET control slide.
- Make sure that the OXY ON flag goes out of view.
- Release the PRESS TO TEST AND RESET control slide.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE PRESS TO TEST/EMERGENCY KNOB IS NOT IN THE EMERGENCY POSITION. IF IT IS IN THE EMERGENCY POSITION, THERE CAN BE A LEAK OF OXYGEN.
(c) On the mask regulator: - Set the N/100% dilution control to the 100% position.
- Make sure that the PRESS TO TEST/EMERGENCY knob is not in the EMERGENCY position. If it is in the EMERGENCY position, there can be a leak of oxygen.
C. Close Access
(1) Close access door 812 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-002).
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
Subtask 35-12-41-860-073-A (1) Close access door 812 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-002).
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
D. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) In the cockpit, on the OXYGEN section of overhead panel 21VU:
(a) Make sure that the OFF legend of the CREW SUPPLY pushbutton switch is on.
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(4) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) In the cockpit, on the OXYGEN section of overhead panel 21VU:
(a) Make sure that the OFF legend of the CREW SUPPLY pushbutton switch is on.
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(4) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
