Cleaning of the Full-Face/Quick-Donning Oxygen Mask on Aircraft

KEEP ALL HYDROCARBONS (FUELS, LUBRICANTS, ETC.) AWAY FROM ALL SOURCE OF OXYGEN. OXYGEN BECOMES EXPLOSIVE WHEN IT TOUCHES HYDROCARBONS.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the ground service network

B. Get Access
Full-Face/Quick-Donning Oxygen Mask ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
Full-Face/Quick-Donning Oxygen Mask ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
(1) Open the lid of the stowage box (2).
(2) Remove the full-face/quick-donning oxygen mask (FFQDM) (1) from its stowage box (2).
(3) If necessary, disconnect the full-face/quick-donning oxygen mask (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 35-12-41-000-002).
4. Procedure
Full-Face/Quick-Donning Oxygen Mask ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
Full-Face/Quick-Donning Oxygen Mask ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (2) Remove the full-face/quick-donning oxygen mask (FFQDM) (1) from its stowage box (2).
(3) If necessary, disconnect the full-face/quick-donning oxygen mask (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 35-12-41-000-002).

A. Cleaning of the Full-Face/Quick-Donning Oxygen Mask
(a) Put the Article-- Mask Film protection SAN 3 (Material No.14TAE1) on the internal and external surfaces of the visor to prevent damage to the anti-mist layer when you clean the mask.
(b) Use the Disinfectant and cleaner-Oxygen Mask - - (Material No.11CKA1) with a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) to clean the internal and external surfaces of the mask face-piece and the nose cup assembly.
(c) Let the mask fully dry in the air or blow it dry with an AIR SOURCE 0.5 TO 1 BAR (9 TO 15 PSI) - FILTERED, DRY.
1 To prevent damage to the internal anti-mist layer of the visor, do not rub it when there is moisture or water on it.
(d) Remove the Article-- Mask Film protection SAN 3 (Material No.14TAE1) from the visor (internal and external surfaces).
(e) Carefully clean the internal and external surfaces of the visor with the SAN40 lens cloth Textile-Lens Cloth Window - - (Material No.14SCA1) .
(f) If the mask is still dirty, do the cleaning of the full-face/quick-donning oxygen mask out of the aircraft (Ref. AMM TASK 35-12-41-100-001).
(2) Clean the mask of the Inter technique MF20 series as follows:
(a) Put the Article-- Mask Film protection SAN 6 (Material No.14TAE2) on the internal and external surfaces of the visor to prevent damage to the anti-mist layer when you clean the mask.
(b) Use the Disinfectant and cleaner-Oxygen Mask - - (Material No.11CKA1) with a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) to clean the internal and external surfaces of the mask face-piece and the nose cup assembly.
(c) Let the mask fully dry in the air or blow it dry with an AIR SOURCE 0.5 TO 1 BAR (9 TO 15 PSI) - FILTERED, DRY.

(f) If the mask is still dirty, do the cleaning of the full-face/quick-donning oxygen mask out of the aircraft (Ref. AMM TASK 35-12-41-100-001).
(3) Clean the mask of the BE Aerospace 174690-M7 series as follows:
(a) Use lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and solution of 1:100 DOT 111-113 and WATER - DEIONIZED or equivalent to clean the internal and external surfaces of the face-seal assembly.
(b) Flush or clean the mask with WATER - DEIONIZED and let it dry in the air.
(c) Use Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) to clean the face-piece of the mask and let it dry in the air.
(d) Make sure the purge valve flaps are flat and not folded.
(e) Use lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) to clean the internal and external surfaces of the visor.
(f) Use lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) to dry the visor or let it dry in the air.
(g) Use lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) with NOVUS 1 PLASTIC CLEAN AND SHINE to clean all the surfaces of the visor.
(h) If necessary, use lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and the NOVUS 2 FINE SCRATCH REMOVER to remove small scratches from the visor and do step (g) again.
5. Close-upCAUTION:
BE CAREFUL NOT TO PUT DETERGENT SOLUTION, DISINFECTANT OR WATER ON THE MASK VISOR. IF YOU DO, DAMAGE TO THE ANTI-MIST LAYER OF THE MASK VISOR CAN OCCUR.
(1) Clean the mask of the Inter technique MF10 series as follows: (a) Put the Article-- Mask Film protection SAN 3 (Material No.14TAE1) on the internal and external surfaces of the visor to prevent damage to the anti-mist layer when you clean the mask.
(b) Use the Disinfectant and cleaner-Oxygen Mask - - (Material No.11CKA1) with a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) to clean the internal and external surfaces of the mask face-piece and the nose cup assembly.
(c) Let the mask fully dry in the air or blow it dry with an AIR SOURCE 0.5 TO 1 BAR (9 TO 15 PSI) - FILTERED, DRY.

(a) Use lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and solution of 1:100 DOT 111-113 and WATER - DEIONIZED or equivalent to clean the internal and external surfaces of the face-seal assembly.
(b) Flush or clean the mask with WATER - DEIONIZED and let it dry in the air.
(c) Use Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) to clean the face-piece of the mask and let it dry in the air.

(g) Use lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) with NOVUS 1 PLASTIC CLEAN AND SHINE to clean all the surfaces of the visor.
(h) If necessary, use lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and the NOVUS 2 FINE SCRATCH REMOVER to remove small scratches from the visor and do step (g) again.
Subtask 35-12-41-410-053-A
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the full-face/quick-donning oxygen mask (1) is correctly connected.
(a) If it was disconnected, connect the full-face/quick-donning oxygen mask (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 35-12-41-400-002).
(2) Install the full-face/quick-donning oxygen mask (1) in its stowage box (2) (Ref. AMM TASK 35-12-41-400-002).
(3) Close the lid of the stowage box (2).
Subtask 35-12-41-860-069-A (1) Make sure that the full-face/quick-donning oxygen mask (1) is correctly connected.
(a) If it was disconnected, connect the full-face/quick-donning oxygen mask (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 35-12-41-400-002).
(2) Install the full-face/quick-donning oxygen mask (1) in its stowage box (2) (Ref. AMM TASK 35-12-41-400-002).
(3) Close the lid of the stowage box (2).
B. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) De-energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
