A. Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002)

B. Get access to the avionics compartment.
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) in position at the access door 824.
   (2) Open the access door 824.

4. Procedure
Subtask 34-72-00-970-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Uploading of the Terrain Database through the Compact Flash Card, with the T/TISS Computer Installed on the Aircraft
   (1) Make sure that the aircraft is on ground.
   (2) Open the door on the face of the T/TISS computer.
   (3) Put the Compact Flash card in its related slot.
     (a) Make sure that you insert the card in the correct orientation.
     (b) Align the card with the slot and push in firmly.
F Compact Flash Card - Location ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (4) The T/TISS computer starts again: all the LEDs come on.
   (5) All LEDs go off and the DATA STATUS LED comes on green:
  • The computer reads the Compact Flash card for approximately one minute.
   (6) The DATA STATUS LED flashes:
  • The computer is loading the contents of the Compact Flash card for more than 17 minutes.
   (7) When the upload is completed, the DATA STATUS LED comes on green.
   (8) When the upload is satisfactory, push the eject pushbutton and remove the Compact Flash card.
   (9) Close the door on the face of the T/TISS computer.
   (10) The computer starts again: all the LEDs come on.
   (11) When all the LEDs go off, the T/TISS computer can operate.
   (12) On the MCDU, on the LRU IDENTIFICATION page, do a check of the TAWS database Part Number.

B. Do the BITE test of the T/TISS (Ref. AMM TASK 34-72-00-740-001).

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close the access door 824.
