B. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at access door 824 in zone 128.
(2) Open access door 824.

D. Preparation for the Loading of the PCMCIA Card Software

NOTE: To do the uploading of the RAAS Configuration Database (RAAS: Runway Awareness and Advisory System), the Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning Computer (GPWC) terrain database must be version 435 minimum.

(1) Get the PCMCIA card with RCD software from the storage box.
(2) Open the door on the face of the Enhanced GPWC.
(3) Put the PCMCIA card into the PCMCIA card slot.

E. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

4. Procedure
Subtask 34-48-00-970-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Uploading of the RAAS Configuration Database (RCD)
(1) Make sure that the COMPUTER OK LED on the face of the Enhanced GPWC is on.
(2) During the uploading, the IN PROG LED stays on and the COMPUTER OK LED is off.
(3) When the uploading is completed, the XFER COMP LED comes on.
(4) Remove the PCMCIA card from the Enhanced GPWC.
(5) After approximately 15 seconds, the COMPUTER OK LED comes on to tell the operator that the uploading of the PCMCIA card contents is completed.
(6) Close the door on the face of the Enhanced GPWC.
(7) Put the PCMCIA card with RCD software in the storage box.

B. Do the Operational Test of the Enhanced GPWC (Ref. AMM TASK 34-48-00-710-001).

Make sure that the last five digits of the RCD software P/N on the PCMCIA card are the same as the RCD software P/N read on the Capt or F/O ND.

5. Close-up

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close access door 824 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-002).
(3) Remove the access platform(s).

B. De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
