A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) Do the Electronic Instrument System (EIS) start procedure (PFDs and NDs only) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
   (3) Do the Inertial Reference (IR) alignment procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 34-10-00-860-004).
   (4) On the Electronic Flight Instrument System (EFIS) control sections of the Flight Control Unit (FCU):
  • Set the mode selector switches to ROSE.
  • Set the scale selector switches to 10.

4. Procedure
Subtask 34-43-00-040-056-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Deactivation of the TCAS
   (1) On rear circuit-breaker panel 121VU:
     (a) Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):
       1 4SG (ignore the related warnings).
     (b) Put an applicable placard in position in the cockpit (refer to your standard practices and local regulations).

A. Safety Precautions
   (1) On the center pedestal, on the Air Traffic Control (ATC)/TCAS control unit:
  • Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to operate the TCAS.
   (2) Make an entry in the logbook.

B. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) Do the Air Data/Inertial Reference System (ADIRS) stop procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 34-10-00-860-005).
   (2) Do the EIS stop procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
   (3) Make an entry in the logbook.
   (4) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
   (5) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
