A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).

B. Get Access
   (1) Remove the radio altimeter transceivers 2SA1 and 2SA2 (Ref. AMM TASK 34-42-33-000-001).
   (2) Remove the applicable cargo floor panels above the radio altimeters antennas 5SA1, 5SA2, 6SA1 and 6SA2 (Ref. AMM TASK 53-42-14-000-001).
4. Procedure

A. Removal of Radio Altimeter Antennas 5SA1, 5SA2, 6SA1 and 6SA2
   (1) Remove and discard radio altimeter antennas 5SA1, 5SA2, 6SA1 and 6SA2 (Ref. AMM TASK 34-42-11-000-001).

B. Removal of Coaxial Cables 4602VB and 4604VB
   (1) In the aft cargo-compartment, record the routing of the coaxial cables (5) and the position of the clamps (1) and (4).
NOTE: The recording of the routing of the coaxial cables (5) and the position of the clamps (1) and (4) is necessary for the installation procedure.
   (2) Remove and discard the coaxial cables (5) ESPM 2033110.

C. Installation of the Coaxial Cables 4602VB and 4604VB
CAUTION: BE CAREFUL NOT TO CAUSE DAMAGE (CRUSHING) TO THE CABLES DURING INSTALLATION. OBEY THE MINIMUM PERMITTED BEND RADIUS. AT THE CONNECTIONS, MAKE SURE THAT YOU APPLY NO FORCE TO THE CONTACTS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THESE INSTRUCTIONS, DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE IN THE CORRECT CONDITION. IF THEY ARE NOT, REPLACE THEM IMMEDIATELY. DAMAGED CABLES CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO OR FAILURE OF THE EQUIPMENT.
   (1) In the aft cargo-compartment, put the new coaxial cable (5) in the correct position:
   (2) On the antenna side, install first clamps to the coaxial cables (5). Keep approximately 500 mm (19.6851 in.) between coaxial cable plugs (6) and first clamps.
   (3) Put the clamps (1) and (4) in position in the boot protections (3).
   (4) Connect the boot protections (3) to the protection-waters (7).
   (5) Make sure that the clamps (1) and (4) and the bands (2) are in the correct position on the coaxial cables (5).
   (6) Extend the boot protections (3) and tighten the clamps (1) and (4).
   (7) Install the coaxial cables (5) in accordance with the recording made in the removal procedure. Refer to Electrical Standard Practices Manual
ESPM 2033110 for general data of the wiring installation.
   (8) Connect the coaxial cables (5) to the racks of the radio altimeter 2SA1 and 2SA2 transceivers ESPM 2044220.

D. Installation of the Radio Altimeter Antennas 5SA1, 5SA2, 6SA1 and 6SA2
NOTE: New radio altimeter antennas must be installed.
   (1) Install the radio altimeter antennas 5SA1, 5SA2, 6SA1 and 6SA2 (Ref. AMM TASK 34-42-11-400-001).

A. Close Access
   (1) Install the applicable cargo floor panels above the radio altimeters antennas 5SA1, 5SA2, 6SA1 and 6SA2 (Ref. AMM TASK 53-42-14-400-001).
   (2) Install the radio altimeter transceivers 2SA1 and 2SA2 (Ref. AMM TASK 34-42-33-400-001).
   (3) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.

   (1) Do the BITE test of the radio altimeter system (Ref. AMM TASK 34-42-00-740-002).
