CAUTION: WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL THE TRANSMITTER RECEIVER UNIT, BE CAREFUL NOT TO HIT THE LOCALIZER ANTENNA. THE CLEARANCE BETWEEN THE RADAR ANTENNA ASSEMBLY AND THE LOCALIZER ANTENNA IS SMALL.

B. Get Access
   (1) In the cockpit, put a WARNING NOTICE(S) on the center pedestal, to tell persons not to operate the weather radar system.
   (2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position in zone 110 below the radome.
   (3) Open the radome 110AL (Ref. AMM TASK 53-15-11-010-001).
4. Procedure
Subtask 34-41-51-020-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Transmitter Receiver Unit (TRU)
   (1) Disconnect the electrical connectors (2) and (5) from TRU (3).
   (2) Put CAP - BLANKING on the disconnected electrical connectors (2) and (5).
   (3) Loosen the two captive screws (4) from the TRU (3).
NOTE: The TRU will move down a small distance. The retainer springs hold the TRU in position.
   (4) Remove the TRU (3) from the weather-radar antenna drive-unit (1).
   (5) Put the TRU (3) in a correct container.
