Subtask 34-41-41-860-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE is in position.
(2) Make sure that radome 110AL is open.
(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position at the access door.
(4) Make sure that access door 811 is open.
(5) In the cockpit make sure that there is a WARNING NOTICE(S) on the center pedestal to tell persons not to operate the weather radar.
(6) Remove the blanking caps before you install parts of the wave guide.
(7) Make sure that all mating surfaces are clean and in correct condition.
Subtask 34-41-41-865-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE is in position.
(2) Make sure that radome 110AL is open.
(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position at the access door.
(4) Make sure that access door 811 is open.
(5) In the cockpit make sure that there is a WARNING NOTICE(S) on the center pedestal to tell persons not to operate the weather radar.
(6) Remove the blanking caps before you install parts of the wave guide.
(7) Make sure that all mating surfaces are clean and in correct condition.
NOTE: Each part of the wave guide is identified (ANT, 1, 2, 3, 4 and RT or ANTENNE 1, 2, 3, 4 and EMETTEUR depending on the Vendor marking).
(8) When you install the wave guide part, make sure that the number sequence is correct. B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

Subtask 34-41-41-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Flexible Wave-Guide Part (1) Connected to the Antenna Drive
(1) Install a new AIPC 34-41-01-02-120 O-RING (3) or AIPC 34-41-81-02-140 O-RING (3) and put the flange (ANT reference) in position.
(2) Lock the quick-disconnect attach (35).
(3) At the other end, install a new O-ring (3) and connect the flanges (2) and (4).
(4) Install the four washers (34) and the four screws (33).
(5) TORQUE the screws to between 0.21 and 0.19 m.daN (18.58 and 16.81 lbf.in )

(7) Install the two half bushings (19) and the clamp (16) on the wave guide.
(8) Put the clamp (16) in position and install the washer (17) and the screw (18).
Subtask 34-41-41-420-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Install a new AIPC 34-41-01-02-120 O-RING (3) or AIPC 34-41-81-02-140 O-RING (3) and put the flange (ANT reference) in position.

USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(6) Install the corrosion resistant steel lockwire dia. 0.5 mm (0.020 in.). (7) Install the two half bushings (19) and the clamp (16) on the wave guide.
(8) Put the clamp (16) in position and install the washer (17) and the screw (18).
B. Installation of the Rigid Wave-Guide Part (32) in the Radome
(1) If necessary, install the wave guide feedthrough (21). Refer to Para. 4.C. below.
(2) At the two ends, install the new AIPC 34-41-01-02-120 O-RING (3).
(3) Hold the rigid wave-guide part (32) in position.
(4) Install the eight washers (26) and (34) and the eight screws (25) and (33).
(5) TORQUE the screws (25) and (33) to between 0.21 and 0.19 m.daN (18.58 and 16.81 lbf.in )

(6) Install the lockwire:
(7) Install the two half bushings (19) and the clamp (16) on the wave guide.
(8) Put the clamp (16) in position.
(9) Install the washer (17).
(10) Tighten the screw (18).
Subtask 34-41-41-420-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) If necessary, install the wave guide feedthrough (21). Refer to Para. 4.C. below.
(2) At the two ends, install the new AIPC 34-41-01-02-120 O-RING (3).
(3) Hold the rigid wave-guide part (32) in position.
(4) Install the eight washers (26) and (34) and the eight screws (25) and (33).
(5) TORQUE the screws (25) and (33) to between 0.21 and 0.19 m.daN (18.58 and 16.81 lbf.in )
. (6) Install the lockwire:
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(a) Safety the screws (25) and (33) with the lockwire. (7) Install the two half bushings (19) and the clamp (16) on the wave guide.
(8) Put the clamp (16) in position.
(9) Install the washer (17).
(10) Tighten the screw (18).
C. Installation of the Wave Guide Feedthrough (21)
(2) Install the eight screws (29), the washers (28) and the nuts (27).
(3) TORQUE the nuts (27) to between 0.21 and 0.19 m.daN (18.58 and 16.81 lbf.in )

(4) Apply a Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) to the nuts (27).
(5) If necessary, install the rigid wave-guide parts (12) and (32) which are connected to the feedthrough. Refer to Para. 4.B. above and to Para. 4.D. below.
Subtask 34-41-41-420-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL NOTE: Two persons are necessary to install the wave guide feedthrough.
(1) Install a new AIPC 34-41-01-02-160 PACKING (22) or AIPC 34-41-81-02-180 PACKING (22) and put the wave guide feedthrough (21) into the cutout of the pressure bulkhead (23). (2) Install the eight screws (29), the washers (28) and the nuts (27).
(3) TORQUE the nuts (27) to between 0.21 and 0.19 m.daN (18.58 and 16.81 lbf.in )
. (4) Apply a Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) to the nuts (27).
(5) If necessary, install the rigid wave-guide parts (12) and (32) which are connected to the feedthrough. Refer to Para. 4.B. above and to Para. 4.D. below.
D. Installation of the Rigid Wave-Guide Part (12) in the Avionics Compartment
(1) If necessary, install the wave guide feedthrough (21). Refer to Para. 4.C. above.
(2) At the two ends, install new O-rings (3).
(3) Hold the rigid wave-guide part (12) in position and install eight washers (30) and (6) and eight screws (31) and (5).
(4) TORQUE the screws (5) to between 0.21 and 0.19 m.daN (18.58 and 16.81 lbf.in )

(6) Install the two half bushings (19) and the clamp (16) on the wave guide.
(7) Put the clamp in position and install the washer (17) and the screw (18).
Subtask 34-41-41-420-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) If necessary, install the wave guide feedthrough (21). Refer to Para. 4.C. above.
(2) At the two ends, install new O-rings (3).
(3) Hold the rigid wave-guide part (12) in position and install eight washers (30) and (6) and eight screws (31) and (5).
(4) TORQUE the screws (5) to between 0.21 and 0.19 m.daN (18.58 and 16.81 lbf.in )

USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(5) Install the lockwire. (6) Install the two half bushings (19) and the clamp (16) on the wave guide.
(7) Put the clamp in position and install the washer (17) and the screw (18).
E. Installation of the Flexible Wave-Guide Part (9) Connected to the Mounting Tray of the Weather Radar Transceiver
(1) Install a new O-ring (3) and connect the flange (8) to the flange (7).
(2) Install the four washers (6) and the four screws (5).
(3) TORQUE the screws (5) to between 0.21 and 0.19 m.daN (18.58 and 16.81 lbf.in )

(5) On the flange of the mounting tray (13), install a new O-ring (3).
(6) On the flange (10) (RT reference), install a new O-ring (3).
(7) Put a AIPC 34-41-01-02-190 WINDOW-PRESSURIZATION (11) or AIPC 34-41-81-02-210 WINDOW-PRESSURIZATION (11) in position with the arrow which points in the direction of the mounting tray.
(8) Install the flange (10) with the four washers (14) and the four screws (15).
(9) TORQUE the screws (15) to between 0.21 and 0.19 m.daN (18.58 and 16.81 lbf.in )

(11) Make sure that the pressurization hole in the wave guide is clean.
Subtask 34-41-41-865-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Install a new O-ring (3) and connect the flange (8) to the flange (7).
(2) Install the four washers (6) and the four screws (5).
(3) TORQUE the screws (5) to between 0.21 and 0.19 m.daN (18.58 and 16.81 lbf.in )
. WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(4) Install the lockwire. (5) On the flange of the mounting tray (13), install a new O-ring (3).
(6) On the flange (10) (RT reference), install a new O-ring (3).
(7) Put a AIPC 34-41-01-02-190 WINDOW-PRESSURIZATION (11) or AIPC 34-41-81-02-210 WINDOW-PRESSURIZATION (11) in position with the arrow which points in the direction of the mounting tray.
(8) Install the flange (10) with the four washers (14) and the four screws (15).
(9) TORQUE the screws (15) to between 0.21 and 0.19 m.daN (18.58 and 16.81 lbf.in )

USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(10) Install the lockwire. (11) Make sure that the pressurization hole in the wave guide is clean.
F. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

G. Test
(2) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(3) Do the EIS start procedure (ND only) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(4) On the ADIRS CDU, on the panel 20VU:
(6) Make sure that the system operates normally: on the ND, the weather radar display is shown.
(7) On the weather radar control unit, set the system to OFF.
5. Close-upWARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT:
(1) Make sure that all wave guide parts are correctly installed. - NO PERSON IS IN THE AREA MADE BY AN ARC OF 135° ON EACH SIDE OF THE AIRCRAFT CENTERLINE. -THERE IS A MINIMUM SAFETY DISTANCE OF 5 METERS (16.4FT) BETWEEN THE AIRCRAFT AND ANY OBSTACLE IN THE AREA MADE BY AN ARC OF 90° ON EACH SIDE OF THE AIRCRAFT CENTERLINE.
(2) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(3) Do the EIS start procedure (ND only) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(4) On the ADIRS CDU, on the panel 20VU:
- Set the three OFF/NAV/ATT selector switches to NAV.
(6) Make sure that the system operates normally: on the ND, the weather radar display is shown.
(7) On the weather radar control unit, set the system to OFF.
Subtask 34-41-41-860-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) Do the EIS Stop Procedure (ND only) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
(2) On the ADIRS CDU set the OFF/NAV/ATT selector switches to OFF.
(3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(4) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
(5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
Subtask 34-41-41-410-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Do the EIS Stop Procedure (ND only) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
(2) On the ADIRS CDU set the OFF/NAV/ATT selector switches to OFF.
(3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(4) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
(5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
B. Close Access
(1) Close access door 811.
(2) Close radome 110AL (Ref. AMM TASK 53-15-11-410-001).
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(1) Close access door 811.
(2) Close radome 110AL (Ref. AMM TASK 53-15-11-410-001).
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
