C. Check of the Equipment/Software Configuration
   (1) On the CFDIU, get access to the System Identification Report or Check of the equipment on which you want to do the software uploading (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-001).
     (a) Get access to the Equipment Identification page:
  • 1FX.
     (b) On the Check (or System Identification Report) part, if the check (or system identification) request does not start automatically, click the START button to start it (a progress bar comes into view).
     (c) On the result page:
  • If the equipment software P/N(s) is(are) not shown or is(are) different from the P/N(s) given in the Airline Configuration Management Document, close the Equipment Identification page. Then go to the subsequent paragraph.
  • If the equipment software P/N(s) is(are) the same as the P/N(s) given in the Airline Configuration Management Document, it is not necessary to do this uploading procedure (unless a TSM task tells you to upload the software again).
4. Procedure
Subtask 34-38-00-610-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Upload of the Software to the OANC
NOTE: This procedure tells you how to upload all the equipment software components to get the correct configuration. If it is necessary to upload only part of the equipment software, you can do the steps related to the applicable software component(s) only.
NOTE: During this procedure, if an error message is shown, record the related fault code. Then do the related troubleshooting procedure.
NOTE: If the OANC is empty (no OANC software and no OANC database software), you must upload the OANC software first.
NOTE: If the new software 1FX/SW2 and the software uploaded before do not have the same supplier, you must dump the database. To do this, it is necessary to upload an empty database before the upload of the new software.
   (1) For 1FX:
     (a) Upload these software components:
  • 1FX/SW1
  • DATABASE-OANC 1FX/SW2, which is the airport database software
  • 1FX/SW3.
   (2) Use the applicable media(s) from the storage box.
   (3) Upload the Onboard Airport Navigation System (OANS) software (Ref. AMM TASK 31-38-00-610-804).

B. Check of the Equipment/Software Configuration
   (1) On the CFDIU, get access to the System Identification Report or Check of the equipment on which you did the software uploading (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-001).
     (a) Get access to the Equipment Identification page:
  • 1FX.
     (b) On the Check (or System Identification Report) part, if the check (or system identification) request does not start automatically, click the START button to start it (a progress bar comes into view).
     (c) On the result page, make sure that the equipment software P/N(s) is(are) the same as the P/N(s) given in the Airline Configuration Management Document:
1 If the equipment software P/N(s) is(are) replaced by dashes, or
2 If the equipment software P/N(s) does(do) not agree with the IPC P/N(s) when you do an LRU identification through the MCDU:
  • Select the OANS STATUS tab at the bottom part of the Navigation Display to do the check of the P/N(s).
5. Close-up
Subtask 34-38-00-860-060-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
