A. Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Do the EIS start procedure (for PFD only) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
   (2) On the center pedestal, on the RMP1 and RMP2, set the ON/OFF switch to ON.

A. Operational Test of the GLS
ACTION
RESULT
1.On the RMP1 (RMP2):
On the RMP1 (RMP2):
  • Open the plexiglas guard and push the NAV pushbutton switch.
  • The Green LED on the NAV pushbutton switch comes on.
  • Push the GLS pushbutton switch.

  • Set a new GLS frequency with the dual selector knob.
  • The set frequency comes into view in the RH display (STBY/CRS).
  • Push the transfer (double arrow) pushbutton switch.
  • The set frequency comes into view in the LH display.
  • Set a new CRS with the dual selector knob.
  • The set frequency comes into view in the RH (STBY/CRS).
2.On the CAPT and F/O EFIS control sections of the FCU:
  • Push the LS pushbutton switch.
On the CAPT and the F/O PFD's:
  • The bars come on.
  • Make sure that the GLS indication comes into view below the G/S scale.
  • Release the LS pushbutton switch.
  • The bars go off.
3.On the RMP1 (RMP2):
  • Push the NAV pushbutton switch and close the pexiglas guard.
On the RMP1 (RMP2):
  • The green LED on the NAV pushbutton switch goes off.
5. Close-up

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) On the center pedestal on the RMP1 and RMP2, set the ON/OFF switch to OFF.
   (2) Do the EIS stop procedure
(for PFD only) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).

B. De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
