4. Procedure
Subtask 34-12-34-610-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Uploading of Software to the ADIRU
NOTE: If the Portable Data Loader (PDL) has the digital signature check-function, it can send two messages:
  • One message if the PDL detects that the software has no signature (refer to the PDL user guide). You can ignore this message, it has no effect on the aircraft software uploading.
  • One message if the PDL detects an incorrect or corrupted signature (refer to the PDL user guide). Then, the software uploading will not be possible and you must use a different software.
Because of possible effects, on data security, Airbus recommends that you send a report of the fault to your Aircraft Security Focal-Point.
   (1) Start the ALT45200001 PORTABLE DATA LOADER (refer to the PDL user guide).
     (a) FOR [1FP1] (ADIRU-1)
1 Upload the software components that follow in this sequence:
         a Operational software OPS
NOTE: Ignore all the warnings until the end of the uploading procedure.
         b Table 1 OPC1
         c Table 2 OPC2.
     (b) FOR [1FP2] (ADIRU-2)
1 Upload the software components that follow in this sequence:
         a Operational software OPS
NOTE: Ignore all the warnings until the end of the uploading procedure.
         b Table 1 OPC1
         c Table 2 OPC2.
     (c) FOR [1FP3] (ADIRU-3)
1 Upload the software components that follow in this sequence:
         a Operational software OPS
NOTE: Ignore all the warnings until the end of the uploading procedure.
         b Table 1 OPC1
         c Table 2 OPC2.
     (d) FOR [1FP1] (ADIRU-1)
1 In the cockpit, on the CAPT PFD, make sure that you can see the speed and altitude scales and the horizon line.
     (e) FOR [1FP2] (ADIRU-2)
1 In the cockpit, on the F/O PFD, make sure that you can see the speed and altitude scales and the horizon line.
     (f) FOR [1FP3] (ADIRU-3)
1 In the cockpit, on the center pedestal, on SWITCHING panel 8VU, set the ATT HDG and AIR DATA selector switches to CAPT 3.
  • On the CAPT PFD, make sure that you can see the speed and altitude scales.
   (2) On the ALT45200001 PORTABLE DATA LOADER, stop the high-speed data-loading application (refer to the PDL user guide).
