CAUTION:
WHEN YOU MOVE THE VANE, BE CAREFUL NOT TO HIT AND NOT TO APPLY FORCE TO THE END STOPS OF THE AOA SENSOR.

Subtask 34-11-19-860-053-A
A. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) in position in zone 231 to get access to AOA sensor 3FP1 or in zone 232 to get access to 3FP2 or in zone 127 to get access to 3FP3.
(2) Remove the AOA sensor protection, if installed (Ref. AMM TASK 10-11-00-555-014).
Subtask 34-11-19-865-053-A (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) in position in zone 231 to get access to AOA sensor 3FP1 or in zone 232 to get access to 3FP2 or in zone 127 to get access to 3FP3.
(2) Remove the AOA sensor protection, if installed (Ref. AMM TASK 10-11-00-555-014).

CAUTION:
DO NOT TOUCH THE AOA VANE IMMEDIATELY AFTER POWER-OFF BECAUSE IT IS VERY HOT AND CAN BURN YOU. LET THE TEMPERATURE OF THE AOA VANE DECREASE FOR A FEW MINUTES BEFORE YOU TOUCH IT.
Subtask 34-11-19-210-051-A A. Make sure that there is no paint on all the moving parts of the sensor (inspection area) that you can see.
Subtask 34-11-19-210-052-A B. If there is paint, on the moving parts of the AOA sensors (vane and slinger), replace the AOA sensors (Ref. AMM TASK 34-11-19-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 34-11-19-400-001).
Subtask 34-11-19-210-053-A C. Manually turn the AOA sensor from the maximum to the minimum mechanical stops (+ 85° to - 35°).
(1) If there is a hard point, replace the sensors (Ref. AMM TASK 34-11-19-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 34-11-19-400-001).
Subtask 34-11-19-210-054-A (1) If there is a hard point, replace the sensors (Ref. AMM TASK 34-11-19-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 34-11-19-400-001).
D. If there are signs of lightning strike (burn mark, spot, etc.) on one of the AOA sensors, replace it (Ref. AMM TASK 34-11-19-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 34-11-19-400-001).
Subtask 34-11-19-210-055-A E. If one of the AOA vane is bent or if there are signs of impact damage on it, replace it (Ref. AMM TASK 34-11-19-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 34-11-19-400-001).
5. Close-upSubtask 34-11-19-860-054-A
A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) Install the AOA sensor protection, if necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 10-11-00-555-013).
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
