A. Installation of the Air Data Module (ADM)
NOTE: ADM 19FP8 has no foam insulation.
   (1) For the installation of ADM 19FP4 or 19FP6:
  • Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position to tell persons not to open access door 824.
  • Make sure that access door 824 is closed.
   (2) Put the ADM (3) with its foam insulation (2) in position on the support (1) and hold it in position.
   (3) Attach the ADM (3) with the four screws (5) and the four washers (4).
   (4) Remove the CAP - BLANKING from the disconnected electrical connectors (9) and (6).
   (5) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
   (6) Connect the electrical connector (9).
   (7) Remove the PLUG - BLANKING from the disconnected quick-disconnect couplings (8) and (7).
   (8) Make sure that the quick-disconnect couplings (8) and (7) are in the correct condition.
   (9) Connect the quick-disconnect coupling (8).
F Quick-Disconnect Coupling ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (10) Make sure that you can see the blue ring on the quick-disconnect coupling (8).
   (11) Pull the quick-disconnect coupling (8) to make sure that it is correctly attached.
   (12) Make sure that the quick-disconnect coupling (8) is correctly engaged (the pin on the quick-disconnect male part is fully engaged into the groove in the quick-disconnect female part).
   (13) Refer to the table that follows to know if you must do two checks of the quick-disconnect coupling (8) and/or the leak test:
Condition
Two Checks of the Quick-Disconnect Couplings
Leak Test
One ADM system
No
No
Two or more ADM systems
Yes
No
     (a) If you must do two check of the quick-disconnect coupling (8):
  • Tell a second qualified mechanic to do a visual inspection of the quick-disconnect coupling (8) (the signature of the two mechanics is mandatory).
  • Make sure that the quick-disconnect coupling (8) is correctly engaged (the pin located on the quick-disconnect male part must be fully engaged into the groove in the quick-disconnect female part).
