Removal of the Seat/Wall-Mounted Emergency Light


WARNING: ISOLATE THE ELECTRICAL CIRCUITS FROM THE RELATED EQUIPMENT AND THE ENVIRONMENT.
CAUTION: DO NOT DISCONNECT THE CONNECTOR DURING OPERATION. ARCING CAN DAMAGE THE CONTACT PINS.
NOTE: The procedure is the same for all the seat/wall-mounted emergency lights.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that EMER EXIT LT switch 4WL on overhead panel 25VU is in the OFF position.
   (2) Make sure that the LIGHT EMER pushbutton switch and its integral light on forward attendant panel 120RH are off.
4. Procedure
Subtask 33-51-19-020-052-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Seat-Mounted Emergency Light (AIRSIGNA-LED)
   (1) Release the two attachment clips (1) and remove the light housing (2) from the related passenger seat.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION: MAKE MATCH MARKS ON ALL THE ELECTRICAL WIRES BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THEM. INCORRECT CONNECTION OF WIRES WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
   (2) Support the light housing (2) and disconnect the electrical connectors (3).
   (3) Remove the light housing (2).
Subtask 33-51-19-020-053-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Removal of the Wall-Mounted Emergency Light (Edge-Light)
   (1) Remove the screws (4) and the washers (5).
   (2) Carefully pull out the light housing (6) sufficient to get access to the electrical connections (7).
   (3) Identify the electrical connectors (7) before you disconnect them.
   (4) Support the light housing (6) and disconnect the electrical connectors (7).
   (5) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
   (6) Remove the light housing (6).
