B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On overhead panel 25VU, make sure that EMER EXIT LT switch 4WL is in the OFF position.
(2) On overhead panel 25VU, make sure that NO SMOKING switch 190RH is in the OFF position.
(3) On Forward Attendant Panel (FAP) 120RH, make sure that the LIGHT EMER pushbutton switch and its integral light are off.
(4) Put the STEPLADDER 1.0 M (3.3 FT) in position at the applicable zone.

4. Procedure(1) On overhead panel 25VU, make sure that EMER EXIT LT switch 4WL is in the OFF position.
(2) On overhead panel 25VU, make sure that No PED switch 190RH is in the OFF position.
(3) On Flight Attendant Panel (FAP) 120RH, make sure that the EMER button and its light are off.
(4) Put the STEPLADDER 1.0 M (3.3 FT) below the related emergency exit location-sign.

A. Removal of the Emergency Exit Location-Sign
(2) Remove the screws (2) and the washers (3).
(3) Lower the emergency exit location-sign (4) to get access to the electrical connectors (5).
(5) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(6) Remove the emergency exit location-sign (4).
NOTE: The procedure is the same for all emergency exit location-signs.
(1) Remove the emergency exit location-sign lens (1). (2) Remove the screws (2) and the washers (3).
(3) Lower the emergency exit location-sign (4) to get access to the electrical connectors (5).
CAUTION:
MAKE MATCH MARKS ON ALL THE ELECTRICAL WIRES BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THEM. INCORRECT CONNECTION OF WIRES WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(4) Disconnect the electrical connectors (5). (5) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(6) Remove the emergency exit location-sign (4).
