B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) On overhead panel 25VU, make sure that EMER EXIT LT switch 4WL is in the OFF position.
   (2) On overhead panel 25VU, make sure that NO SMOKING switch 190RH is in the OFF position.
   (3) On Flight Attendant Panel (FAP) 120RH, make sure that the LIGHT EMER pushbutton switch and its integral light are off.
   (4) Make sure that the stepladder is in the correct position.

   (1) On overhead panel 25VU, make sure that EMER EXIT LT switch 4WL is in the OFF position.
   (2) On overhead panel 25VU, make sure that NO SMOKING switch 190RH is in the OFF position.
   (3) On Flight Attendant Panel (FAP) 120RH, make sure that the EMER pushbutton and its internal light are off.
   (4) Make sure that the stepladder is in the correct position.

   (3) On Flight Attendant Panel (FAP) 120RH, make sure that the EMER button and its light are off.
   (4) Make sure that the STEPLADDER 1.0 M (3.3 FT) is in the correct position.

   (1) On overhead panel 25VU, make sure that EMER EXIT LT switch 4WL is in the OFF position.
   (2) On overhead panel 25VU, make sure that No PED switch 190RH is in the OFF position.
   (3) On Flight Attendant Panel (FAP) 120RH, make sure that the EMER button and its light are off.
   (4) Make sure that the STEPLADDER 1.0 M (3.3 FT) is below the related emergency exit sign.
4. Procedure
Subtask 33-51-16-910-056-A
A. Preparation for Installation
   (1) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
   (2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.

B. Installation of the Emergency Exit Sign
NOTE: The procedure is the same for all emergency exit signs.
   (1) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
   (2) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
CAUTION: REFER TO THE MATCH MARKS MADE DURING THE REMOVAL WHEN YOU CONNECT THE ELECTRICAL WIRES. INCORRECT CONNECTION OF THE WIRES WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
   (3) Connect the electrical connectors (5).
   (4) Install the emergency exit sign (1) with the washers (4) and the screws (3) on the fuselage structure.
   (5) Install the emergency exit sign-lens (2).

B. Installation of the Emergency Exit Sign
NOTE: The procedure is the same for all emergency exit signs.
   (1) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
   (2) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
CAUTION: REFER TO THE MATCH MARKS MADE DURING THE REMOVAL WHEN YOU CONNECT THE ELECTRICAL WIRES. INCORRECT CONNECTION OF THE WIRES WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
   (3) Connect the electrical connectors (5), (10).
   (4) Put the housings (4), (9) in position.
   (5) Install the washers (3), (8) and the screws (2), (7).
   (6) Install the lenses (1), (6).

C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) On overhead panel 25VU, make sure that NO SMOKING switch 190RH is in the OFF position.
   (3) On overhead panel 25VU, make sure that EMER EXIT LT OFF annunciator light 5WL is on.

D. Preparation for the Test
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) On overhead panel 25VU, make sure that EXIT switch 190RH is in the OFF position.
   (3) On overhead panel 25VU, make sure that EMER EXIT LT OFF annunciator light 5WL is on.

D. Preparation for the Test
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) On overhead panel 25VU, make sure that No PED switch 190RH is in the OFF position.
   (3) On overhead panel 25VU, make sure that EMER EXIT LT OFF annunciator light is on.

E. Operational Test
   (1) Do this operational test:

  • Set EMER EXIT LT switch 4WL to the ON position.
  • The related emergency exit sign comes on.
    On overhead panel 25VU:
  • EMER EXIT LT OFF annunciator light 5WL goes off.

On the related emergency exit sign:
  • Set EMER EXIT LT switch 4WL to the OFF position.
  • The related emergency exit sign goes off.
    On overhead panel 25VU:
  • EMER EXIT LT OFF annunciator light 5WL comes on.
5. Close-up

A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Remove the stepladder.
   (3) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
